Beautifully restored original fixtures and fittings: everything from the rich red carpets to the ornate stage surroundings are clean and cared for. A very cosy venue, excellent sound and lighting.
Beautifully cared for and restored venue which makes it a pleasure to be in. Excellent sound and lighting quality, 800 capacity but you always feel very close to the action, even on the seated balcony
Nice small venue for a gig. There are cloakrooms down the stairs beyond the lift which is handy if you've arrived in your big winter coat.
Great gig venue . Efficient bar service . Helpful staff .
Great venue, really good sound. Overpriced beers as per usual but one of my favourite London venues
Great and big venue, acoustic is not the best for rock gigs. Only cash bar
Lovely venue, great sound. Balcony area has nice seats.
Obviously talented musicians . Great sound. But was a short concert !
Great gig venue , lots of space, great acoustics , two bars , clean toilets !
Bar does not take cards so take cash with you. Otherwise great venue, even the toilets are amazing!
Great venue. Upstairs seating is great.
Great venue for a gig. Saw the amazing Patrick Wolf here. Nice disco ball.
The floor here is like a trampoline ! Never been to a gig before where the floor is so sprung!
Great local venue for music in Islington!
Friendly staff , nice sprung wooden floor
Intimate venue. Beware, it gets sweaty!
Beautiful historic venue. £5 for a red stripe though..?!
Lovely intimate gig venue
Very poor understanding of customer needs. Overly keen door staff , hopeless and uninterested bar staff who have show little or no concern for client needs. First and last visit to this venue.
This place has got some great acoustics
Amazing acoustic
Check out the amazing Edwardian toilet seats!
Great venue in a converted town hall . 230 people max.
The ground floor bar offers a nice selection of eclectic (normal for North London) beers in a nice modern environment. Fantastic music space! - Oleg Belov
Very cozy and little venue to enjoy an intimate show. I highly recommend it - Juani Prieto
Love this place, feel like a second home. The venue is beautiful! - Lydia Berkennou
One of the old staples of upper street. One of the very few pubs that has stood the test of time! - Alison Roche
Happy hour before 8pm. They make a great whiskey sour - Clea Romeo
Good selection of cinders but mostly mainstream Swedish bottles. Try a flourecent blue St helliers. - Gary Chisholm
