Take the steps for some serious exercise, though beware it's tight and quite claustrophobic, especially near the top. But it pays off with a lovely 360 view of the city .

Beautiful, old but in the time when they knew how to make beautiful monuments . Great way to spend Sunday morning.
Very pretty. If you're willing to be in a small elevator or walk 32 flights of stairs for a view go for it.
Hard to capture it in one photo. Try putting your iPhone in pano mode but hold it so you scan it up and down. You'll get a long tall photo you can crop.

It's huge! Beautiful centerpiece to downtown Indy.
If you are looking for a place to sit down, have lunch , or just relax, this is the place to go in Indy during the day. Grab an ice cream at South Bend Chocolate Factory while you are at it.

This monument was formally dedicated in 1902 after a parade of flags with many veterans of battle.In 1918 there was a museum added underground that has a collection of Civil War artifacts .
Great for Halloween...Can you find the lady statue on the monument that is crying? Legend has it that a man jumped to his death off of the monument and the tears were seen soon after.
The monument that gave the name to the Circle City . Be sure to climb the stairs to the observation deck.
I recommend paying the $2 for the elevator , lots of steps . ;-) The monument itself is very impressive.
