The best authentic shabu shabu you're going to get. This is my #1 spot...along with many others. Get there early or really late cause there is ALWAYS a long wait line !
My favorite place to eat! Waiting is the worst part but totally worth it. I love the taste and the simplicity and everything even the order of the tables. Highly recommended.
Local’s tip – This place is super small so get there early and add your name to the list then shop in the Little Tokyo Plaza until it’s time for you to be seated.
As of January 23, 2015 - Shabu-Shabu House is no longer open for lunch . =( Dinner only. Medium A (10 slices) is now $18.67 & Large B (15 slices) is $20.83.
Oh soooo gooood. Hands down best shabu shabu ever. It's simple, efficient and friggin delicious. Medium is enough. Order large if you wanna get stuffed!
They sell shabu shabu ingredients to go! Try buying their beef and making your own shabu shabu at home. ????
There is no right way or wrong way of eating shabu-shabu...think of the meat and vegetables as your paints and the pot of boiling water as your canvas...make a work of art !
No reservation . First come, first served. Prepare to wait for at least an hour during dinner time. Super awesome food! Validate parking !
After a long day, all I can think about is chompin' down on some Shabu in Little Tokyo. This place is so happenening and old school Japanese…Love it! - Ernest Pierce, DTLA
Eat (LA) Amazing locals only Shabu Shabu joint. Be prepared to wait at least an hour but it's so damn worth it!
Long wait , quick meal . But totally worth it! Only one thing on the menu (in two sizes: medium and large). Lunch is cheaper than dinner so try to go before they close at 2.
If you still have room, get a second plate of meat. They give you a better cut to thank you for appreciating their meat.
Connie the owner is super nice and always knows what we want and always makes sure our sauces and rice bowls are always food!
Best shabu hands down, been eating here for 11-12yrs and tried many other shabus bt nothing compares to the original and first one in the US
Parking validation is only for 2 hours. The wait is typically 2 hours. Ask the store owner to validate your parking while you wait, drive out at 1 1/2 hours, then back in for a new parking stub.
They only serve beef but the quality is pretty good!
Though it opens at 5:30 for dinner , the waiting list becomes available at around 4:30. Get there early to beat the crowd.
I've been eating here since 1993. I probably helped pay for all the burners and seats... in a way...I own this place so to speak...lol.
This place is excellent! Don't be deterred by the wait.
Been eating here for 12 years, best shabu ever, I don't have to explain myself about this place, hands down the best
Get here early for lunch and put your name on the list. First lunch seating at 11:30
The shabu shabu everything is good
The ponzu sauce is like crack. It's addicting.
Come here when you are not hungry cause by the time your name is called for a table...you'll be hungry!!!!
Been eating here for nearly 20 years... my favorite shabu shabu joint in LA... YEAAAHHH
Shabu shabu is amazing! Love this place
We waited about 45 minutes on a rainy day. We were about to leave, but I'm so glad we stayed. The food made up for the long wait . We asked for Lean Cut meat, but it looks like it was all the same.
My favorite place!! The best beef !!!
Great Japanese food , but OMG, the wait is horrid. Better come during the non peak hours of 2p and 5pm to not have to wait an hour to eat.
Make sure you order ice coffee at the end of your meal!
The manager is the sweetest lady I've ever met! Try the yogurt soju cocktail :)
Its cash only after 07/15/2011. So make sure u get some cash from the market around the corner
the best shabu shabu ever ! Long long long waittt but sooooo worth it !!
The best Shabu-Shabu place. Expect to wait at least 30 min, but it's worth it.
So delicious! Get your meat lean! And make sure you get in for lunch before 2pm
My 14th year eating here. So f what ya'll think about other shabus this one has the best sauce
Best meat! Great sauces! Few places worth the wait
if u want to buy ponzu sauce from here u got to hurry. they only make 12 bottles daily. it's $5.50/ bottle
Large plate xtra lean with sake bombs ! And get here early or you will wait a long time. It's worth the wait though.
Now horrible! Owner now has a big head, makes you wait, rushes you during dinner . Literally said to me, "I don't care how much $ you've spent" and was glad to lose a customer. Not worth the wait.
There's no other place and food like this!
Waited for more than 1 hour. Spent $10 for parking . Food was just so so. The base soup is not broth but water. I can cook it myself at home. Won't go there again.
Really good. Long wait . Food was awesome.
Shabu shabu !
CASH only !
My favorite Shabu place in Jtown. You can specify your meat (lean or fatty).
long waits during lunchtime
Been 20 yrs best shabu ever had still. 10 fingers and 10 toes up
Sometimes i paint my heaf green and the rest of my body orange and pretend im a carrot (o^_^o)
If you build it they will come. And that's why shabu is so popular.
