A special place, nestled in Edinburgh's West End. This place is a wonder. You will leave with an appreciation of modern art you didn't know you had. Be sure to check out the Anthony Gormley work!
Must go to modern 1 & 2. The "there will be no miracles here" sign had me laughing when I realized it borders a cemetery . Bus will take you from the moderns to the national gallery and visa versa.

It is worth visiting both, One and Two. One has a fascinating story about the public reaction to their Lichtenstein when they got it. And Two has a lovely Surrealist exhibition .
The Escher exhibition is really fascinating - delves into the funky geometric stuff, but also reveals unknown dimensions of his art . Well worth the longish walk from the centre of town !
I went to school next door so I'm biased, but the Scottish Modern Art Galleries are among the most relaxing spots to enjoy art anywhere. Do not miss the Eduardo Paolozzi studio: a master's masterpiece
A bit far from the city center but there is a free shuttle that can drive you from the Scottish National Gallery to this museum and vice-versa.
Great place to spend time whether enjoying the collection, a travelling exhibition or just a visit to the cafe .
In addition to its exhibition programme, Modern Two is home to 'The Stairwell Project', a permanent painting by Richard Wright. This was commissioned for the 2010 Edinburgh Art Festival .
Not really my thing. But good for modern art exhibits . Gardens well worth a stroll on a nice day.
Well organised and lovely building. Ray Harryhausen exhibition was very good.
Thanks to Ross (@ Security) for the insight into Artist John Bellany & how they both grew up together whilst in Port Seton. Exhibition @ The Scottish National Gallery | 17 Nov 2012 – 27 Jan 2013
Don't miss the robot sculpture in the restaurant
There is no art . The gallery is totally empty, as of today the Number One (ex Dean's) features pictures of somebody's anus at ground floor and other floors are empty.
Another World exhibition is a wonderful collection of pieces. Don't forget to stop by the cafe . They serve excellent food.
The free bus out to the National Gallery of Modern Art (1 & 2) is back on for the summer. Read more
Check out Nathan Coley's installation There Will Be No Miracles Here on front lawn. Also Martin Creed's Everything Is Going To Be Alright on fascade of Gallery of Modern Art .
The Cadell show proved his paintings are not just about ladies taking tea .
Lovely food in the museum bar .
The one and two renaming is in such bad taste. Thumbs down for devaluing a beautiful institution

Go check out of the BP portrait exhibition , it's amazing!
Another world exhibition is fabulous go see it!
Вообще их 2 здания, через дорогу . Если основное здание (с прудом ) обойти слева (парковка ) - то найдёте потайной проходик вниз к речке . Так можно попасть к замку Гарри Поттера с "заднего входа"
