Old Town Trolley Station and Transit Center

Found free parking , bought a $5 day trolley pass, and saved beaucoup bucks on expensive downtown parking ($25-30!) during San Diego's Comic-Con.

Took a trip to LA from here in the morning and got some nice views of California ocean and canyons on the way. Not a bad place to wait, unless it gets really hot.

Coaster does not stop long so be ready. They always check tickets no ticket =$200. Press j to pay with cash. Coaster ticket good on trolley, sprinter and buses for 2hr after purchase.

If you need to reach the San Diego International Airport , use the Flyer, which is a free shuttle to the airport .

Wireless internet (Surfcoaster) is very spotty, especially between Sorrento Valley and Old Town . Don't count on it.

Very confusing. Trolley is on the Old Town State Park side. For Coaster or Amtrak , you have to go thru the underground tunnel . Track 4 is Northbound, 3 is Southbound. Good luck!

Probably where you want to get on for Chargers games if you want to not be sardined against the door.

Public transport rocks. No need for a car for visitors.

The only good thing about the convenience store is the .99¢ teas . Coaster AND Amtrak do stop here, although on different tracks

And the mayor has a polsikan friend, that is also a ginger .

The 30 is chronically late due to traffic and a long route so make sure you account for this when planning your route.

Grab a train station coffee from the snack shop . So bad, it's good.

Bring your track shoes to hop tracks of necessary!

There is only a bathroom for MTS employees. That's what you get for being a taxpayer.

Don't park towards the edge of the 5 fwy--your car will be smothered in pigeon poop!

The jerks in the store got mad that I tool a pic of their sign said I had to pay them to take a picture and to use the bathroom where the dryer is broke and don't paper towels besides it was filthy

None of the ticket machines accept credit cards.

Amtrak north and south runs on track four. Don't wait on the wrong side!
