Let's be honest. The art . Bernini...Caravaggio...it was like a dream to see these works of art in person! It's June so it was hot and stuffy but it wasn't too crowded . Overall great experience.
Great collection, best to visit with a tour guide though. Limited english description for pieces. Few paintings/sculptures had audio option. You have to give your bag, but they wont take your jacket !
Masterpieces by many artists can be seen here. My favourites are the marble sculptures by Bernini. Book and be punctual or you'll have to wait for the next turn to enter (that's up to two hours!)
Amazing gallery but the booking is mandatory. Don't forget to see also it's garden on the back where you can see again from outside the Bernini statue Ratto di Proserpina.
I definitely recommend the multimedia audio tour they offer in multiple languages for €5 if you don't go there with a tour guide. Don't forget to look up! :) each room is a work of art on its own
The audio guide is so worth the €5! No explanation of the works, otherwise. Amazing museum , not to be missed. Make sure to reserve your tickets online ahead of time.
You’ll enjoy a collection of world-class Baroque sculpture , including Bernini as well as paintings by Caravaggio , Raphael, Titian, and Rubens . The museum ’ has a mandatory online reservation system.
I think the 2 hours are not enough too enjoy all the the things.Ps:if you intend to buy a Roma Pass you will have the entrace for free and you can call and reserve an advance.Reservation is mandatory!
In our opinion, the most beautiful gallery in Rome. The Bernini statuary is an absolute must-see. Considered one of the best collections of classical art in the world -at one time coveted by Napoleon .
Well-worth the fuss. A treasure trove of Bernini sculptures , Caravaggios, & incredible rooms. Book online 2-3 weeks ahead for tix. Tours are 2 hrs. Always sold out. Enjoy!!
The audio guide is worth every penny (5€). It offers good stories and background information. Makes the visit so much better. I fell in love with Bernini.
If it's your first time, definitely book a guided tour ahead of time. No descriptive plaques like at many other museums . You'll get the highlights in the very limited two hours allotted per ticket.
Tickets sell out a few days in advance, especially during high season. Do look for a guy re-selling pre-paid no-show tickets at face value. He is legit and those tickets get you in!
Wish we were allowed to stay there more than just 2 hours. A must see place once in a lifetime. Caravaggio i love you, btw. <3
It's a must see attraction , tbest gallery in Rome. Make your reservation a couple of months before your trip in order to get tickets for the day you want, since the number of visitors aloud is limited
Amazing art collection ! Buy the tickets in advance as it is always crowded and lots of time fully booked ! Loved the park as well :)
Amazing collection of art . So may Bernini sculptures , and all interesting and beautiful. Had an issue with tickets, but they made good on the error. The ceiling artwork is truly beautiful.
An absolute must see when in Rome. Be stunned by Bernini's amazing sculptures . Make sure you make a reservation a couple weeks before you visit.
If you want to visit a minimum number of museums during your trip, this must be on the list. Be sure to reserve tickets beforehand cz they get sold out.

One of the most wondrous places on earth. Don't miss the picture gallery on the second floor.
Beautiful collection of renaissance artwork and sculpture . The Pietà was truly incredible.
The Borghese Gallery , for all its spectacular art content, has a master's missing - Michelangelo. Scipione Borghese was only a small crucifix made by the artist , and that, unfortunately, disappeared
You don't need the reservation to get there. Just come to the ticket desk few minutes after the time slot begun (9/11/13h etc).
One of the city 's most exquisite art collections . If you only have time to visit one museum in Rome , make sure it's this one!
Impressive collection of art , but buying tickets 2 weeks in advance and not being allowed to carry any belongings inside is just ridiculous. Plus they most likely broke my camera which was in my bag
Amazing galery. Especially the dome of the main room. Mostly recommended to visit
They say the best museum in Rome is the city itself. That may be so, but the Galleria Borghese is still a gem worth seeing.
Impressive! Try to spend some time there but book tickets in advance
