The Substation was founded in 1990, and is Singapore’s first independent contemporary arts centre. We promote research, experimentation and innovation in the arts, and have worked with some of Singapore’s finest artists, writers and intellectuals.

Great place to learn about Singapore's history, especially the guided tour by an passionate volunteer guide. A lot of coverage on life during and post WW2. Food here is limited & overpriced though. - Alexander Yap
New dining experience at Watami (Japanese Cuisine). Must try: Watami salad (10 types of veggies with tuna mayo), Kani & Hotate cream croquette (breaded balls of crab & scallop in creamy sauce). - Raffles City Shopping Centre, Singapore
