A super friendly staff & modern facilities make this Y feel on par w/ more expensive gyms . A pool, TV-equipped cardio machines , Bay Bridge views & unlimited classes make getting fit fun.
Very quiet weights area. $20 for a day pass if you're just visiting, although if you sign up via the website you can get a free session.
What a view to have when running on the treadmill ! Excellent staff . Make you feel at home. Members are awesome to visitors. I was at Hotel Vitale and they give you free passes to Y if their guest.
The pool has a separate area for aqua aerobics and those just doing simple water exercises. Very cool!!
Nice facility, great view of Bay from gym , well kept pool and hot tub , friendly staff
Love the drama in the women’s locker room . Cardio equipment overlooking the Embarcadero is the place to be.
The best gym ! Great view of bay from cardio floor, and awesome classes . Love Nes's boot camps and the kinesis classes .
Basketball games weekdays at lunch and Mon & Thurs at night. Robert's Ab class on Thursdays at 5:30 is awesome. Overall nice place with friendly staff .
Load my bar code onto my Key Ring app. So I can just scan from my phone at entrance.
Panoramic view of the Bay from the cardio machines on the 3rd floor. Best window vista inside a gym I've ever seen, for sure!
5 lane lap swimming pool (25m), recreational pool, and a jacuzzi in a great location.
The pool is great for doing some laps!
If you want to try EVERY DANG EXERCISE IN THE UNIVERSE, this is the place to go! No joke!!
If you're hitting the pool, check the schedule! Masters/classes take up most of the lanes.
On a nice warm day check out the roof top ; it's a great place to relax between workouts and/ or classes !
Pickup basketball , sauna/steam room, weight room w/ amazing view of the bay
If you are a YMCA member and this is NOT your main branch (I'm visiting from Denver), it's $5 to use the facilities. Pretty stupid. Apparently it's $15 for non-members.
Check out the morning pick-up basketball games here from 5:30 a.m.-8:00 a.m., Monday, Wednesday, & Friday. Read more
Check out their Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday schedules for volleyball .
Group Exercise is free from June 9-June 15- bring a friend!!
It gets busy between 5 - 6. Best time to go is early morning before work.
Stay late on Wednesdays (7:30) for capoeira . It's awesome and you will love it.
Ernest does a great job at massaging out your pain!
One of the best gyms in SF
Nes' bootcamp will rock your body!
Great staff and great group ex classes !!!
Browse web sites or watch TV on a personal screen while working out!
Great free yoga .
Super run down. Is not really inviting. So not worth the membership. Staff are not the best.
One of the cheaper options out there... Also, they have a pool! If you're a swimmer (or ex-swimmer) it's a great place to get your workout in and get out. Plentiful parking near the main gym as well - Rob Ray
The pool is, as expected, filled with families on weekend afternoons. Not great for lap swimmers. Great for families. - Karla
Everything U want in a gym with a lot of service. Machines, weights, trainers, Zumba, yoga, boxing and Pilates. A pool, basketball court, sauna on 3 levels. Used to be called SportsClub LA. - herm pugay
