On The Embarcadero, checkout the marketplace , Blue Bottle Coffee and Pepples Donuts . People watch as workers come and go on the ferries and rush hour time. Great bay views and outdoor dining fun.

Chuck Roslof

The marketplace has lots of great shops and restaurants in it, and is a nice place to walk around (plus, views of the Bay ). And there's a good farmers market on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

Fresh food , independing purveyors, yummy food outlets, a lovely Sur La Table shop for all your cooking needs (expensive however!) and Hog Island Oyster Co: best indoor food market in the world!?

Serious Eats

This indoor marketplace features a wide selection of food and drink options, from full service restaurants to takeaway counters. Local California produce and products are the star.

Brian Strauss

Probably the single best place for a tourist to get an understanding of Northern California foodie, hipster , coffee , and ethnic culture all in one spot. Beautiful architecture and bay front spot.

Rene T.

In addition to restaurants and cafés , you will also find stores and, of course, the ferries to Sausalito and Larkspur.

Jeffrey Glueck

A foodie paradise by the Bay . Check out organic fruit , sulphur free dried fruit , toxic free moisturizer, raw oysters , cowgirl creamery mt.tam, blue bottle coffee ... What not to like? Except pricy

Bérenger

A place you can't miss in the city . Love the atmosphere here. Take a pastry a ACME Bakery , a drip at Blue Bottle , and go sit outside on the waterfront . Amazing.

Eric Notrick

The smell of coffee surrounding inside of the entire building took me back to that exact time I've been to Italy for the first time as a 7 years-old kid. Lovely setting, lovely ambiance & atmosphere.

CITY GRIT

It's like these guys were reading our journal when they selected the tenants – Cowgirl Creamery , Hog Island Oysters , Boccalone Salumeria, beekind, and Rancho Gordo among a few of our favorites.

Andres Novoa

They have a mosaic of the Seal of California on the second floor. Just ask the security guard nicely and they'll let you through to take a picture :)

NeMeSiS

A food paradise, lots of choice of food and beverages. Take a stroll and you can find lots of treasures and especially during farmer market days????

Piatti Ristorante & Bar

When Chef is in the city and looking for the best ingredients the region has to offer, this is the perfect stop. Amazing quality and variety abound throughout the Ferry Building!

Arlynne Cakes

Great variety of local, healthier options . It gets pretty busy so the sit-down restaurants usually have wait times unless you make a reservation , but usually not too long and worth it.

Jeremy Krantz

Crowded but a ton of fun. There's a lot of food options so walk around and nosh your way through various stalls. Ice cream , cheeses , pastries , cold cuts , it's all delicious!

Taylor Lee

Go on a day with a farmer's market to enjoy local produce and walk through the back area to grab a great view of the Bay Bridge .

Corinna P

What I like best about the ferry building is I don't have to choose. I can snack on Hog Island Oysters AND get a Roli Roti sando AND eat cowgirl creamery cheese AND get a geranium macaron at Miette.

Janice B

Take your time to enjoy it all from one end of the building to the other and everything in between. It's a fantastic place, especially if your a foodie or lover of old buildings . The place is Yar!

Natalie Lin

Buy monthly Muni/Clipper cards here. Go to Cowgirl Creamery & Acme for cheese & bread . Pick up coffee at Blue Bottle . For dessert , try the rose macaron from Miette or oranges from Twin Girls Farm .

Thomas Vincent

Always take the relatives by here when they are In town . Idea is to starting a fairy from Alameda another goto the fairy building. Get a bicycle taxi and go down to fisherman's wharf or union square

Abby C

Lots of little artisanal shops inside as well as some more established places (Peet's Coffee ). Easily accessible from public transportation . Also easy to get ferry tickets etc.

Jana Beranova

Concentration of nice restaurants and cute shops. Go there for lunch and hang out for a while. A lot of choices to buy nice and original souvenirs from local retailers .

Nadia Thinks

Walk the whole thing before you make a food decision outside too bc some locations face the bay and some the middle. except at noon. Then decide FAST before it gets crazy.

Laurie Dalzell

I just love the ferry building. From the Juicery to the Farm market grocery and everything in between. Best place to hang while waiting for my ferry any day of the week.

Line Atallah

This is a foodie heaven! Go there on Saturday morning and get a taste of all the amazing fruits , cheeses , smoked fishes , dips and more. Oh, and don't forget to grab an oyster plate.

Oysters , the Imperial Tea Court, Blue Bottle , it's an SF staple. Looking for a snack before the wedding, get the porchetta sandwich at the rolling roti .

Farmers market on the weekend is awesome!

Daphne Goon

Lots of things to see and many eateries . Can eat inside the building or take outside and sit on the bench and eat. Be careful of the birds trying to beg for food. Don’t feed them!

Anton Gaddi

The Ferry Building has a lot of good vendors for unique and delicious food. The little bad thing is the prices for the goods are getting expensive . My "secret spot" there has a great view ????

Wcg Church

Always a pleasure visiting the Ferry Building on the Embarcadero by way of SF Bay Ferry boat from Vallejo to San Francisco. Interesting but very expensive dining places. Friendly people.
