Peek around the corner to see which line is faster, the main counter or the side window. Also, check out the new Blue Bottle coffee kiosk out front and sit in one of the wood booths .
Secret window is usually faster. Ask for a cortado (not on menu) but it's espresso cut with milk , a lighter latte . Grab your drink and head out to the pier for a view of the Bay Bridge .
Best affogato of my life. Creamy vanilla Humphry Slocombe ice cream offset perfectly by the just perceptible bitterness of the Blue Bottle espresso , poured over the ice cream like bisque over lobster .
The lines wrap around interminably but it's some if the best coffee in the city . Grab a waffle to sustain you as you shop around the ferry building.
My favorite coffee place in SF! The service is amazing after two days they'll learn your name, and after a month they'll cry and remember that is your last mocha and waffles :)
I must say, it's the best coffee so far and it's better taste than Starbucks.love their iced coffee . A must try if you're within SF. They've a couple of stores ard. Check them out!
I love that when I walked up, the baristas were chatting about coffee acidity. They suggested the Oakland Lights and I wasn’t disappointed. This is easily one of the best cups of coffee I’ve ever had!
It's a mandatory stop if travelling to SF. Just get in line and enjoy. Grab a bag a beans to bring back home too. I always get the macchiato , but everything is good.
Blue Bottle is a well-known name in the Bay Area coffee scene—their Ferry Building location is a takeaway-only spot, with homemade liege waffles and side window to cut the longer, tourist-filled line .
Everything is good. They’re a lovely place and sell nice things. My favorites though are the Cascara fizz and the Ginger Molasses cookie
Get a macchiato or cappuccino as the latte I had was pretty weak. If the line inside is too long, there's actually a kiosk location out front on the sidewalk. Great post ferry coffee stop.
Best coffee near Howard. Watch out as the only start serving the majority of their coffees later in the morning. Most espresso drinks available all the time :)
There are 30 ft of magic on the Northern end of the SF Ferry building. Wait out the line at @bluebottleroast, get a breakfast sandwich at Il Cane Rosso to go, then head out to Sausalito.
Delicious coffee - latte or New Orleans iced coffee . And don't forget about the tasty treats - my favorite is the olive oil shortbread .
Food options are very limited here but I recommend you get a New Orleans-style iced coffee with whole milk . It's absolute dynamite and delicious!
There's something to be said about using full fat milk in lattes . It's "delicious". If you're worried about calories go for a walk on the Embarcadero. Gorgeous.
New Orleans' Ice Coffee is awesome! Better here than NYC Blue Bottle Coffee. They don't know how to make it in NYC.
The most amazing melt-in-your-mouth waffle I've ever put in my mouth. Also, the New Orleans iced coffee is perfection. Ask for it with soy milk .
Shakerato with oat milk , affogato , and New Orleans-style iced coffee are my fave here. Pastries like the waffle are pretty good also.
When you want to experience great energy of SF, hang out at BlueBottle - the best Coffee Bean Espressos/lattes, excellent snacks ; close to other cafes and restaurants , ACME BREAD (my favorite), Ferry
Great coffee ...a welcome find after 4 weeks in America trying to locate a decent coffee ! This was a great addition to my last day spent in San Francisco :)
Best espresso with a side of sparkling water. Morning got off to a great start. Opens at 7am weekdays.
The 12 hour New Orleans brew is worth the long line . Get the Hayes Valley coffee beans too
i tried their new orleans iced coffee n oh my god! so yum!! >_<// their coffee is noticebly stronger than others, I love it♥
Cold brew and waffle is ????. There are three windows now (including one outside), so queue wherever the line is shortest.
First time at Blue bottle ; the New Orleans lived up to the hype!
LOVE this place! This coffee shop makes amazing coffee , and sustainability is at the core of the business! Get your coffee and head out to watch the seals!
Even if there’s a line out the door, remember that some great things really are worth waiting for. Try their renowned New Orleans iced coffee !
If the line is super long, try going to Frog Hollow instead. They serve delicious french press coffee roasted by Verve as well as espresso drinks . Not to mention their great selection of fruits .
Very hipster now. gets really crowded after 10am. humphry affogato w/espresso is must try. Mocha = crack. Also if your looking to get wired you can get the new orleans iced. (3 of 4 petals via Fondu) Read more
Affogato - deeeelicious! Espresso (Hayes Valley blend) & Henry Slocombe vanilla ice cream - 2 good size scoops
Take a break from the foodie-heaven of the Ferry Building and grab a coffee . Best to visit on weekdays, the queue can get epic on weekends.
The same quality Blue Bottle you've come to expect from the billions of locations around the city . Go to the kiosk outside on Embarcadero if the line for the location inside is too intense.
A quality coffee shop that'll please even the most persnickety New Yorker. They carry the finest organic beans and serve the freshest blends to keep you moving throughout the day. Read more
A second window opens around the corner when it gets busy. There’s also another Blue Bottle outside, in front of the Ferry Building, albeit with a more limited menu.
One of the best pour over drip coffee . It takes a few minutes to prepare but well worth it.
Shorter line around the corner. And if you see me, you should be saving me a spot in shorter line :)
The coffee is great in general, but you should really get the New Orleans Iced Coffee . There's a reason people rave about it.
You should definitely try the ice cream with coffee ., if you're a coffee lover, you'll be addicted to this place!
Waffles are AMAZING! Also had a sandwich wow and coffee was excellent.
The Mocha is so amazing! I'm in love with it, I drank one cup and I need more! ♡
This location is more of pop-up shop than anything tucked inside the Ferry Building, but the New Orleans Iced Coffee I had was nonetheless wonderful.
Excellent coffee . They were out of the N.O. iced coffee so I had a double espresso , drip coffee and a gibraltar ... in one visit... When things quieted down for a bit the staff pleasant to talk to ab
There are two lines , one at the main store and one around the corner. Check both so you don't wait longer than you have to.
Me: "Will I get the shakes if I order a Gibraltar and a New Orleans Style iced coffee ?" Barista: "Yes but it's worth it." He was right!
There's another counter at the side, 'round the corner, usually with a shorter line than the main one.
I tried the latte and the iced coffee . Both were great, but the iced was a little harsh and citrusy. The latte was smooth and caramelly, completely perfect. If I go again I'll get the latte .
Great firm waffle with intensive taste of egg and honey !
Get their affogato . If they run out of ice cream , just get the espresso and pour it over the ice cream from next door!
Such an efficient new kiosk! And friendlier folks than a few years ago.
