Sensational pub with fantastic bar staff . We go most weekends and it’s always more fun than the last time. Food, drink, staff and all the dogs pottering around... all exceptional
Nice atmosphere here ...try and blag a window seat or, weather permitting, an outdoor one for prime people-watching. Best thing? Dogs are welcome!
Great neighborhood pub ! Was a joy to see a group of youngsters playing cards on a cold night. I’m a little uncertain about dogs being let inside, but the dog that I saw was very well behaved.
Perfect pub for a Sunday roast (7.5/10) and a board game , lots of space and outside seating ????????
Roast was great. We ordered extra potatoes and Yorkshire pudding for the roast. This was accommodated fuss free at a reasonable cost . (Only for the greedy)
Fantastic Sunday Roast - great venue, affordable and excellent wines . Really great place. One quibble - check your bill before paying.
This has always been my favourite place for a Sunday roast but the last few times, the food and service have both been underwhelming sadly. For the first time I'm thinking of finding a new option.
Sunday Roast beef was delicious, and very reasonably priced! Meantime Yakima Red to wash it down ????
offers a range of Bloody Mary derivatives - including the brilliant Bloody Pirate, made with rum . Johnny Depp would be proud.
It's a bit of a hidden gem . Good place for a quiet drink. The large room with high ceilings at back is pretty comfortable .
Lovely setting in the main dining room. Sunday roasts are good, but have gone downhill lately, and the dessert options are not as good as they used to be. Service is slow and neglectful. A real shame.
Roasts are great as are the bloody Mary's and the staff are great. V good selection of ales too. Cosy.
Chilled out vibe. Relaxed and unpretentious. Dogs allowed. Woof.
Lovely interiors, quiet enough to chat, staff with a bit of attitude.
Good local, nice staff , good space just a shame it's a bit expensive . However it's similar story around Newington Green
Great all round pub , kids welcome, food great, beer even better
Chill spot . Dog friendly with bikkie treats.
Brilliant cocktails
Great pub food and baby friendly
Try the Monkey Shoulder. Rocks. - I think good blended Scotch is underrated!
Go for the ales that rotates every week. Saison is a great one!
Leave room for a sticky toffee pudding
Excellent selection of beer !
The cellars is nice. They have good beer and is not overpriced. And that's a rhyme.
Great atmosphere and lively food get the steak !! Great land lady
Lovely pub but the burger bun 's very bread-y.
Try the Jaeger Bombs - Classic.
Was surprised when they asked us to leave a card behind the bar before we ordered. By the time we paid we'd figured it out- over an hour wait for food, no apology.
if blaring top 40s is your thing, bring your megaphone because they play it loud .
Great beer selection, awesome kitchen and friendly staff! Chicken pie and beef burger are both good! - William Wang
Staff were brilliant and helpful. Sunday beef roast and Bloody Mary magnificent! - Cecily McMahon
The Veggie Roasts. The Cauliflower was spectacular. Both delicious. Thumbs up ???????? nice people - Tomus Frog
This place is amazing, value, quality and range are all top notch. Best grocer in town - Jane Mostyn
The little coffee shop here is great! Get a coffee and pastry and sit in the Sun. - Vic McGin
