First time here and I like the overall concept: A huge area filled with barracks each containing galleries for the occasional art appreciation.
Former military barracks turned into an Art gallery ! Great access to and easy location to get taxis when you leave!
built in 1936 for the British Army, was a key WWII site. After the war, was handed over to the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) in 1971 by $1; used for military training until it was vacated in the 1990s.
Good place for art ! Quite a number of exhibition halls to explore. Mostly free entrance. A couple of cafes here too.
One of Singapore's Hidden treasures . Exhibits will be different every time you visit. That is if you are into arts , designs and crafts.
This is one of Singapore’s most unusual contemporary art spaces; it spotlights marquee names from around the world (Chinese artist Ai Weiwei; Australian sculptor Sam Leach).
Galleries are a mixed bag but shows are constantly changing so there's bound to be something interesting on. Worth a visit for the site and scenery alone.
The idea that turn the barracks into an art gallery deserve praise. However, this place is not vibrant than I thought, and more contents have to developed since not much was going on there.
This is a hidden gem , focusing on the visual arts , set in an unusual location surrounded by bits of rainforest.
Check out the various art galleries here and get your fuel at naked finn - best lobster roll ever!

We liked everything (that we ordered). Try the New Zealand Black Mussels, the Beef Tenderloin with Yorkshire pudding, and if you're lucky, the not-on-regular-menu Pork Cheeks. - Siew

Beautiful artisan ice-cream and freshly made waffles. Delicious. One of our kids dropped their scoop of ice-cream and the staff replaced it for free. Totally unexpected and very thankful. Will be back - Imad B
