The American Book Center

The name should be changed to 'The Amazing Book Center'. Definitely worth a visit, even if its just to have a cup of coffee (upstairs).

Enormous selection of travel books (also of Amsterdam and The Netherlands), science fiction and Fantasy. Plus a hidden corner with board, card and role playing games.

If you like books (and magazines, games, etc), the American Book Center is (together with close by Waterstones ) definitely worth visiting.

You can find any book , magazines and guides in here. Huge store with great atmosphere. They have this "blind date with a book " thing which i thing really exciting.

Chaotic organization of books and categories, but I like it. The shop has some nice corridors with shelves filled with books up to the ceiling. Even the stairs are flanked by bookshelves!

Honestly the best looking book store I've ever come across with a beautiful collection of books , graphic novels etc. I think I want to live here.

Four floors of various literature in English! As a fan of Star Wars I found several editions of storyboards for the entire Saga, albums about such renowned artists as Ralph McQuarrie and much more.

Huge selection. Check out the mystery books on the top floor. You never know what you will get! Provide your student ID from anywhere in the world and get a discount !

Check out the Sale shelves in the sci-fi and fantasy section on the first floor, opposite the children's books . Many recent titles are offered at heavily discounted prices!

This is an awesome bookstore with a huge selection of books (all in English!) and free wifi internet. Patrons are encouraged to find a good book , make themselves comfortable and stay a while.
