Hands down the best ramen in Oakland. The Ramen Shop is over priced and over crowded compared to Sobo. With the addition of a full bar , Sobo is a top 5 shop in the entire bay .

Cameron W

The miso broths are rich nutty and full of deep flavor, the noodles are top quality, perfect bite and well seasoned, noticeably better than most ramen joints

Good tonkotsu broth for the 510, not as good as any South Bay spots however. Kids menu is decent. Love the option to add bok choy or kale (in generous quantities), blasphemous as it may be for ramen !

Brook Shelley

Pretty good bowl of spicy black tonkotsu . The flavor is a little mild, but the pork belly is excellent. The karaage is pretty good too- small, bite-size portions.

Joey Combs

The tonkotsu broth is fantastic. Get it spicy with tonkatsu on the side!

Hailey Crowel

After living in Japan, I'm a big ol ramen snob. I loved the spicy miso ramen (be prepared, it's got some legit heat). The karaage and gyoza can be skipped.

Michael Robinson

Been twice. Love it. I plan to work myself through the menu. I had the spicy tonkatsu special tonight and it was awesome!

Marg1e

I actually didn't like it at first time, and second time I tried because I really crave for Ramen , surprised to learn that they improves lots. Try the fried stuff, soft shell crabs and fried chicken .

Worth visiting again... However use the restroom BEFORE you come! It's all the way around the corner & down the street, literally!

Peter Hornberger

Get the spicy black tonkotsu . I've never tried anything else and don't need to!

Paige Coté

Probably the best ramen I've had in the bay . And you can walk through the kitchen on the way to the bathroom , which I thought was pretty cool.

Daniel Eden

The country miso ramen is my go-to. Also a great selection of drinks, including plum wine !

Leonard F

They make their own noodles ! The ramen here is legit ????????????????????????

George Dy

Loving this ramen outpost in Chinatown. Spicy garlic mayu is the way to go.

M.C.

Gluten free noodles are worth the upgrade, even if you're not GF. They'll only combine it in specific broths though.

Pertz

Just okay, but it's the best ramen in/around Oakland. Super inconsistent quality and quantity. Get the spicy miso if you visit.

Inexpensive and filling ramen . Totally hits the spot.

Agedashi tofu is really good here. Portion is a bit small but delicious!

Yogurt soju + vegetarian spicy miso ramen . One of the best veggie ramens I've tasted.
