Bar Tabac

Tabac is my new obsession. I've passed it many times for CLl and CC, but I came for dinner with a friend. She had the steak frites & I had the tuna steak w/ ratatouille and definitely had a foodgasm

A stable neighborhood spot--always our go to. Food is good, predictable, warm and cozy . Live music is always lovely. Prices have increased recently ???? thus is the life of a cobble hill restaurant .

By far the most lively place on a Monday at 8pm- live music , open doors and windows... Awesome atmosphere and the food looks great. Prices are very competitive. Would make a great date!

Great food and service. Love music can be Lloyd but they have out door seating and seating way in the back where the music didn't sound as loud . Great place either way. Get the mussels .

My favorite dinner spot in Cobble Hill . You can't go wrong with a goat cheese salad and $5 side of mushroom risotto . Their flourless chocolate cake is also to die for if you have a sweet tooth!

Love this Cobble Hill nabe fav for the spirit of the Tabacs of France with steak frites or a delicious brunch !

Such a great place! 1) got the chicken and it was so good plus a large portion size 2) they have a great reggae band every night except fri and sat 3) cute place 4) friendly and cute bartender !

Fantastic french bistro / bar food. Perfect late night place as there's people and wine flowing until really late. Great wine selection and places to sit outside when its nice out.

Do yourself a favor and try the Ommegang Witte. It's a medium wheat beer with a citrusy flavor - particularly lemon . It had a crispness to it, and is delicious!

It’s always a fun time with some live music , a French bistro , and a great atmosphere. Make it even better by getting the classic, plump Les Moules Frites soaked in extremely flavorful tomato sauce .

A staple of Cobble Hill . Come for the Steak Frites (with peppercorn sauce ), a Late Night Giant Burger or simply sip a glass of wine and listen to the nightly jazz music .

Cheese and meat plate is filling, great french place, i feel like french expats go there!

I’ve tried to like this place. Been here several times but the service isn’t great and the food isn’t anything to write home about. Much better brunch options available in the area.

Walked into this place on a whim and it didn't disappoint. Blake the bartender is a really cool and professional guy. I didn't eat anything but the beers are cold and tasty. Def worth going again.

Awesome for a late night bite. They have bistro bites for $6 and a massive piles of moules frite for $15. You won't leave hungry or with an empty wallet.

Good French onion soup , not so great Nicoise salad , and great steak frites with peppercorn sauce . Live music and outdoor seating are a nice addition.

Finally came back for brunch . Solid Bloody Mary , excellent Croque Madame .

Make sure to sit outside on a warm Sunday soak in the sun and enjoy a great brunch . Mimosa time. The Cobble Hill crowd will get even better.

Salmon and couscous=awesome, muscles and fries=awesome plus traditional French. Outdoor seating-be sure to sit facing he street like the Parisians do.

Food and atmosphere. Spoke w owner and he was super friendly and fun. Really enjoyed/highly recommend.

Very authentic French bar/bistrot in Brooklyn. Tuna tartare so so, croque monsieur quite good!

Cash or amex only! Staff is slow but food is good! Steak and duck salad are a way to go!

Instant favorite Great food, great atmosphere. Don't know if everyday is like this, but on Saturdays the music selection includes Bowie, LCD Soundsystem, Hot Chip , Röyksopp, etc.

Lunch : casual . The salmon is well-presented but sweet & not in a good way. The burger is typical & a bit over-priced. The tuna tartare is terrific! Menu is narrow.

The eggs tablac is amazing. The ratatouille that is under it adds some pizzaz. You can request the ratatouille alone too!

It was great, cute place, live music , delicious food. The Eggs Bar Tabac were great but not as delicious as Eggs Benedict

This is a full-on Bistro NOT just a breakfast spot ...one of the best dinner spots in all of Bkln, maybe NYC.

Esquire: Definition of a neighborhood eatery . Go for the Burgundy snails, and footie matches on the TV .

If you like gin , The Aviator is amazing. Be prepared to drink it out of a girlie glass.

The duck salad is out of this world (and surprisingly cheap , given the rest of the menu).

Tamal is the best bartender ever. Order a Don Doc. You will not be sad.

Popular and open late . Pretty sad wine list and no heat during winter. Pepper steak is ok. Tuna tartar tastes sushi joint inspired. BUT it's The block to be on Bastille day.

The house band here is great. Live music every Monday night. 3 piece rock / ragtime

Avocado toast is great with mimosas . Cozy place to grab some drinks.
