Waited approximately 15 minutes on sunday to get a table. It’s quite popular place I guess. We enjoyed the breakfast a lot, it was delicious. So do not change your mind when you see the queue.
cozy breakfast spot . ordered the peanut butter banana French toast , delicious and not as sweet as I expected. excellent and fast service , accommodated my off the menu iced coffee request.
Really good food and service, quaint setting, so be prepared for at least 15 min wait but it's so worth it. Great people watching . The blueberry corn waffles were breathtaking ????????
Must try the peanut butter and banana stuffed French toast ! It is killer! There's a reason why Cafe 222 has been featured on so many shows. It's authentic , delicious, and decently priced.
The proprietor of Cafe 222 brings San Diego some of he best institutions with Bankers Hill Bar and Restaurant along with a cute little bakery called Bake Shop. Check them out!
Great food and excellent service. Eggs Italia were just great. Pesto on the eggs with perfect home fries . The peanut butter banana pancakes were awesome.
Great place to have breakfast . Friendly staff . Nice regulars.
An awesome breakfast menu and very reasonable prices! Near the convention center . Dine Al Fresco on the terrace rather than the street side.
Loved this cafe ! The food was perfect, service was dependable, and they have a cute little patio .
If there's a wait, you can grab a cup of coffee at the station near the front; they'll add it to your bill
To be honest it was Below our expectation ????????We didn't like the food there, except for the blueberry corn bread waffle , it was good ????????
The peanut butter banana French toast is SO worth the hype!!! Delectable.
All the waffle and pancake versions are top flight. Best side is the Griddle Potatoes .
Get here early, because there's a line . Fuel up on PB & banana french toast before a long day at the convention center . Pay extra for real maple syrup . - Kellie, Community Manager

Everyone recommends the Peanut Butter/Banana Stuffed French Toast which is great, but the Orange Pecan Pancakes are AWESOME!!!
You gotta eat breakfast here! The pancakes and waffles are just out of the town
Worth the wait, even their sausage patties are pretty killer.
They are famous for their pumpkin waffle . It's a must! We always get one and split it.
The Mexican is a great scramble. Good diner coffee too.
cute and kitschy but even better? the food is great (better and less expensive than eating in a hotel ).
They get busy quick, so come early! Grab a cup of coffee while you wait!
Try the Corned Beef Hash and Tamales & Eggs !
Not only was the All American great, but also a free coffee to go.

Worth the short wait . Delicious food and super friendly staff .
The peanut butter and banana stuffed french toast lives up to the hype
Pretty obnoxious that they have people line up outside and say there is a 15-20 minute wait when there are many visible open tables
Peanut butter banana pancake is great, and I don't even like bananas .
Mexican eggs with home made gravy , good stuff!
Get the tamale with eggs . Six great tastes that go great together!
