Lots of outdoor seating , equinox and micheladas to drink, bfast tacos , chilaquiles , al pastor torta to eat, not expensive , inside could have a better ambiance, good salsa
The chips are authentically good & the salsa is perfect. I came here to try the Mango-Habanero Margarita as per Eater suggesting it, it is perfection of sweet and spicy . This place is awesome.
Always been a huge fan-- still a great happy hour and tasty food, but the service has suffered the last few times I've been here, and if you're a woman alone on the patio , just forget it.
If you can't eat spicy this may not be the right place for you. If you can handle the heat then get ceviche (agua chile as they call it in baja) to get started, order the mango habanero margarita
The most authentic Mexican food I've had in Austin. I love the tacos de bistec and the mexican cokes ! Not too expensive for the quality of the food. Also make sure to check out the sand pit outside.
Superior micheladas , legit Interior Mexican cuisine , a beautiful patio , some of the best carnitas in the city , and killer mezcal and sotol cocktails . Viva Mexico! Read more
Really good mexican food . Not tex-mex at all. Mango Habanero Margaritas are a must. I always order the ceviche . The Chile en Nogada is the best I've had in Austin!
Solid Mexican food , outstanding cocktails . The patio is directly by the street, so a bit noisy .
Has awesome and reasonably priced food. Love the Al Pastor tacos and the white sangria has a cinnamon stick and is terrific. Sit on the outdoor patio and enjoy.
Jokabeth is an excellent bartender . Real hussel...rare trait in an Austin bartender !
Sad because the food was great and so were the drinks. The employees, however, simply tragic. But I will be back when I feel like it and will check all employees on their behavior next time. ????
Ceviche was great!! I'm not all that crazy about ceviche but this one was amazing!!!! It comes with chips and salsa :)
Solid brunch . Their queso is really just a massive lump of melted cheese served with tortillas and it's delicious.
The family recipe pork tacos are worth your time . The guacamole is great. And, the refried beans are creamy goodness.
This dimly lit, flat-screened cantina sporting a sand-and-beach chair patio plates platos de tacos like the Al Pastor (pineapple-marinated pork , cilantro , and onions ) and rock a serious drink list. Read more
One of my fave places in E Austin (& maybe the whole of Austin). Cool Italian vibe with Mexican food & good music .
The Dos XX michelada is the best beer cocktail in Austin, which is why it’s on our list of The Tastes That Make the City : Austin. Read more
The atmosphere was great. The service, however, was far less than sub par. Upon sitting at bar while putting our name down for a table outside with the no personality waiter/host (guy w/ponytail)
The chips are so good! Mimosa carafes are cheap ! I always get one of the tortas , the pastor is the best.
If you get mango habanero margarita you have to request chinaco reposado with it. Jokabet is the bartender you want! Everything here is authentic and absolutely delicious.
Their mezcalrita is awesome. Good chips and salsa and yummy fish tacos .
The tacos verduras on flour with refritos and mexican rice is the way to go! And a mango habanero margarita will hit the spot!
Probably one of the best micheladas in the city . It's as big as your head and made with tons of lime juice . Fantastic.
Thirsty? The rich and fruity Mango Habanero Margarita suits Takoba's sunny patio well .
This salmon & poached egg sandwich is great!
Ceviche was great. Ordered talapia with lime garlic butter sauce and I'm still dreaming about it. :)
Great tacos ! They keep their outside seating warm and covered. Waitress kinda rushed us out though.
amazing slow roasted pork shoulder in any form of taco and or tortilla !
Mexican home cooking with a great patio ; try the mango habanero margarita . [Eater 38 Member]
$7 mimosa carafes .
Amazing heating in the outside tent. Definitely coming here again, even during cold temps.
Food-wise, best tex-mostly-mex place in ATX. Sit outside and order the queso fundido ... don't expect much from the cocktails .
Head to this spot east of downtown for something more casual than La Condesa but more formal than a simple taqueria .
Ah, take your shoes off in the beach chairs in the sand outside... Have a drink and try to imagine for a small moment you're actually at the beach . So relaxing..love this place!
Because the bartender (some Mexican guy with tatts) was just a shitty person the rest of the time (again stay home if u catch feelings at work) control ur emotions dude
Awesome brunch location. $7 carafes of mimosas on Saturday and Sunday. Queso fundido and guacamole are delicious!
Get here super early for Sunday brunch . 2 hour long lines are common. Excited that Takoba's getting in on the SXSW action! Check do512.com to see what's going on here.
Definitely will be coming back. Good, spicy mole , descent margaritas and selection on draft isn't too bad either. At 9 blocks from home my only complaint was dry chicken .
FYI, it's no longer a sit down brunch . You order at the bar and get a number.
Hidden gem : house made "Agua Fresca " with the natural fruit flavor of the day. AWESOME! Mango was the one we've got
Loved the ceviche and the carnitas torta . ????????
The queso fundido is awesome and enough for 4 people! The michelada was the best I've ever had.
Micheladas are the bomb, have Issa make it!
love the lounge and the bartenders . the salty perritos (i recommend them with tequila instead of vodka ) are tasty and the veggie tacos are delicious.
Guacamole , empanadas and fundito were wonderful
Nice patio great nopales and tacos al pastor . Enjoyed the mojitos !
Jose's Michelada is the best in town
A bit loud inside and out like a COOL Austin hangout but I am hoping the food will be good.
The less than sub par bartender didn't greet us bc he was glued to the basketball game on tv (ok? Stay at home then? U at work.) we finally asked for a drink menu and I guess he felt offended by that
Best Sangria Blanca I have ever had. Be ready for a Sangria paradigm shift-cinnamon-delicious!
Vegetarian delights! The roasted salsa is delicious and you can't go wrong with the Relleno! - Kaustubh Thirumalai
Migas enchiladas are the best! I always get them with rice and hashbrown ^_^ - Jesus Mendoza
Migas taco! I’ll say it again: migas taco. And parking in the shade...unbeatable. - Bijoy Goswami
Wonderful and relaxing! Full volume dancing! So fun! Can't wait to visit again. - Anngeelala
