Closed for renovations until 2018. Visited on last day & felt rushed. Grt collection of fine arts , esp the impressive Dutch collection. Get tickets online. Plan to spend 3+ hrs incl. special exhibits .

their temporary exhibitions have been great now for the past few years and the permanent exhibition is pretty good too. also, the building itself is beautiful.

The collection is impressive as well as the building itself. Do not believe the expected visit to be 2.5 hours. You 'll need much more time to see all! Get the scheme at info desk in any language

A selection of 50-60 artworks from the Museum’s collections will be on show in the Hungarian National Gallery (in Buda Castle , building C) from Wednesay 1 July 2015 until re opening.

The entrance is a nice spot to chill with comfy furnitures . Stare at the square and the surroundings.

Currently, the museum exhibits Renoir, go and enjoy, it's wonderful!

Michelangelo hall without Michelangelo art .. first time ever. No one spoke English in the museum to explain that to us, until we went out and asked the receptionist .

Such amazing textures at the Rembrandt exhibition ! Only the structure of the rooms was confusing. Unfortunately the museum will be closed...

The whole square is awesome and I really enjoyed this museum when they had exposition of Schiele a year ago.

Very nice museum that is free is your have a Budapest Card!! Worth the visit.

Check official web site for temporary exhibitions . They usually have prolonged opening hours on weekends (on the last weekend even till 10 PM)

The Museum of Fine Arts Budapest is closed for renovation of the building, therefore it cannot be visited from 16 February 2015 until the spring of 2018.

Dont miss the Eight (Nyolcak) exhibition , the best Hungarian material I've seen here lately!

The exhibition room for temporary exhibitions is small, thus overcrowded and cold. Impossible to properly enjoy art .

STILL A LOT TO LEARN ABOUT HOW TO SET UP AN EXHIBITION. TOO COMPACT, TINY NOTES, SMALL FONTS. VIENNA IS JUST 2 HOURS DISTANCE, THEY KNOW IT ALL.

Очень рекомендую к посещению. Прекрасные коллекции Античности и Старых мастеров . Закладывать на посещение лучше не менее 3 часов. Передохнуть между осмотрами разных эпох можно в просторном кафе.

Одно из лучших собраний Европы! Музей на столько хорош, что не хочется уходить, очень понравилось!

Сегодня вечернее мероприятия :-) в музее играет DJ и дегустация венгерского вина :) выставка рисунков Рафаэля порадовала! Много симпатичных венгерских девочек :-)

Музей откроется в конце октября 2018 года после реконструкции. Коллекция музея впечатляет.

Выставка Сезанна до 17 февраля. Билет 3200 форинтов, стоит того, большая экспозиция . В залах холодно((( и много народа , несмотря на 1 января, но все толпятся у Сезанна...

A bejárat barátságtalan , a kávézóba nem mehetsz le jegy nélkül, hogy ott ne az ajtóban téblábolva várj. A csarnokok kopárak, kár érte. A belépők drágàk es külön kell fizetni a fényképezésért. Szégyen.

В подвальном помещении - выставка о Египте и зал современного искусства

коллекция поинтереснее, чем в национальной галерее в Буде. Достойный уровень.
