Maunawili Falls Trail is a hiking trail Kailua located in United States.
Kelewina Rd. Kailua , HI 96734 United States
It is 1.67 miles each way. It wasn't a hard hike , but it wasn't easy. Lots if roots to dodge and some steep steps. But totally worth it! Super fun swimming hole !
Worth the hike to swim or jump into the falls pool. Bring aquasocks or beater tennis shoes for the swim/jump
First of all the spelling on this is completely in correct. It's Maunawili Falls. Second, best on a sunny day. Bring towel, swimming suit and old tennis shoes . There will be mud!
Don't believe the hype. Beginners trail my a**. Beautiful, but thankful for my hiker husband. Need: old sneaks, walking stick, water & follow the blazes as much as you can bc some parts are deceiving.
It's muddy and you'll be crossing streams. I slipped and fell a few times, but that's part of the charm.
Gets very muddy , crosses 2 streams, lots of tree roots and janky stairs. Pretty sweet waterfall at the end; be careful if you jump .
This trail is most definitely much longer than a mile. Exercise caution if bringing the little ones. Rocky, rooty, and slippery a lot of the way.
fun spot that's a little off the beaten path but great jumping place for waterfalls
The muddiest hike I have ever done - don't wear anything that cannot get dirty , because trust me, you'll be covered in mud!
Get water shoes from Walmart $7 and totally worth it. It's a long hike but the water fall is nice and cold!
Very muddy and rainy. But it is a fun and crazy experience.
Bring lots of mosquito repellant and sunscreen , and wear clothes and shoes you wouldn't mind getting muddy
One of my fave hikes .
Yep, it's muddy , make sure to bring shoes you don't mind dirtying up.
Please pick up your trash! It's sad to see litter everywhere on this trail .
Bring water shoes ! About 1.5 miles- worth it!
We were idiots and forgot our water. Didn't have hiking sticks either. Did it just fine although those two things would have been nice!
Go barefoot or wear old shoes because it is super muddy
Jump off the waterfall ! Wear hiking shoes . Muddy after rain
Once again please pick up your trash!!!! Even in peoples' yards! Such a shame.
Bring ur junk shoes
Ditch the shoes . Go barefoot. Be rugged. :P
Old tennis shoes , bug spray, walking stick, and a waterproof camera !
Never come after 4 because the sun sets early on this side. I almost spent the night!
If it's rained the day before be prepared for a VERY muddy trail! We only took water shoes with us for this! The falls are cool, though, and you can climb up the rocks and jump into the pool. - Michelle A.
The third peak is really challenging and dangerous. Prepare yourself good enough to climb the third. For those who don't wanna go that far, viewpoint from the first peak is good enough. - Sintawat Wangsiricharoen
Amazing beach with very soft sand. Very calm waters, like a pool. Incredible blue water. - Rodrigo
Easily the spot with the best views. It's constantly evolving through each day. Ample parking and not crowded even when tour buses come. Don't miss a stop here! Say hi to the wild chickens and cats - Terence Chan
