Kailua Beach Park

One of the most beautiful beach parks I've visited in Hawai'i! The sand is white and the water light turquoise and just the right temperature. No strong currents and big waves, ideal for kids.

A quiet retreat in paradise. The white sand powder beach and clear turquoise water only compliment this hidden gem on the windward side. Great for sunbathing or windsurfing !

You can kayak to the nearby islands tho renting a kayak is a very cumbersome. Recommend parking at the rental place 1/2 mile away and walking your kayak to the beach . Winds get strong in afternoon.

Kailua Beach is a hidden (relative to Waikiki) gem, with water that's even more beautiful, white sand that's even softer, and a quieter , more local atmosphere that's really refreshing.

A nice and can be busy beach park . Is large though so it usually doesn't feel too crowded . The earlier you come the less people will be there. The is a very nice sandy beach accessible by this park .

We loved this beach . It's quiet and has a great park . Not touristy or crowded like Waikiki. Sand was velvety.

Awesome beach with great sand next to Lanikai Beach . Recommend the drive out to Kailua for local less touristy style. Obama hangs out here :)

Super beach , not as quiet as some on the west coast, not as busy as those near Honolulu. The windward coast lived up to its name when we were there and it got very blowy in the shades areas .

Amazing beach with very soft sand . Very calm waters , like a pool. Incredible blue water.

Excellent beach , turquoise blue water , soft powdery sand. Good spot for body boarding even for beginners - 10$ rentals for the whole day. Restroom/showers are available on the beach .

Awesome sandy beach to launch kayaks out of to offshore islands . No shade, so bring an umbrella. Also, it can get kind of crowded in the afternoons.

Nice beach ! Definitely a public one too! If you go in the morning wear shoes . Some people forget to get rid of fires and just put sand on top of it. Ouch!

Beautiful, but not for snorkeling . Nothing bad, but no coral or other things to see while snorkeling . Beautiful for sun bathing though and has showers / toilets .

There are multiple access points with plenty parking . There are picnic tables but no chaises or umbrellas that we could see. Very nice beach !

Best beach i have seen thus far.... Walk it in the afternoon or sit on a bench , because its simply breathtaking!

Great family beach . Everyone is very friendly , great place to walk your dog, and awesome view of Chinaman's hat. The sand is so soft.

Kailua Beach is my home and I love it, but it has become much too popular lately with the tourists who at least go back to Waikiki at night. Please be respectful of the folks who live here and Aloha..
