野柳的標誌女王頭是蕈狀岩的一種，在地殼抬升的過程中，因受到海水差異侵蝕而逐漸形成今日的面貌。若以其高度比對台灣北部地殼平均上升速度推算，女王頭的芳齡將近4000歲。其實女王頭就是蕈狀岩，因頂部結核上的節理斷裂，從某一角度觀看時貌似英國伊莉莎白女王頭像，因此而得名。

There is a proper queue watched by a strict security guard . No cutting lines to take photos of the famous Queen's head. You are safe from the jostling & rude mainland Chinese!
Really amazing piece of nature eroded into something that has probably powered yeliu's tourism trade. Prepare to queue if u want to photograph it.
great tourist spots, even though the head has decayed so much. lots of chinese tourists , but the spot is kept pretty orderly and clean .

Really cool rock formations and beautiful cliff side by the water. You have to pay an entrance fee but it’s a huge park with tons of different trails. It is extremely crowded with tourists! - Connie Chiu
