Make sure to get the special pork , it is by far the best meat I have ever had with a ramen . The salt Tonkotsu broth is very good and the spicy miso broth is also excellent. Be prepared for a wait.
We have a winner here! Hidden within an Asian supermarket is one of the best Ramen spots in the bay area. The spicy miso ramen , especially the broth, is out of the world!
Spicy Miso Ramen is amazing! Lots of Japanese people come here, which means it's authentic . The line during lunch is long.
Awesome spicy miso ramen . If they still have it by the time you get there try the special pork . It is less fatty, and perfectly tender.
I love the salmon rice bowl . I think some people may not like it due to the fishy smell. Add a splash or two of ramen soup and you have a great comfort meal. Inside Mitsuwa supermarket .
Really yummy ramen ! I love the pork cheeks . Lines can get very long even during off peak hours, so be prepared to wait. It'll be worth it!
It was great, novice when it comes to Ramen . My friend said order the 33 spicy ramen with a side of pork . Boy was I happy, only thing better would have been a beer or saki with it. Yummy!
Best ramen in San Jose in my opinion. Don't go for the atmosphere (you are basically eating within a supermarket , but the ramen is killer. Tons of Japanese people are eating there all the time, whic
spicy miso ramen is fantastic. make it a set if you're hungry and add the rice with salmon roe .
Shio ramen is amazing and get 1 of the sides too. Bring cash and a drink if you don’t want to buy theirs.
If you want the best ramen from here, ask for the "VDubb Special" which is the special pork ramen with salt broth, extra spicy oil , and an egg . Delicious!
The chashu was surprisingly yummy. Not the best ramen egg , but a forgivable offense considering how solid the bowl is.
Salt ramen with special pork (toroniku) is absolutely the best.
This place does pretty good job of making the Ramen almost exactly the same as Japan original, except the portion and price. Worth the wait!
I always get a set. #82, soy sauce flavor, chashu bowl, and egg is def my favorite. I always dump the egg into muh soup :D Yum!
Had the char Siu spicy miso . Was expecting a delicious meal but was disappointed. The broth was rather weak. Char Siu was delicious. Cash only place.
The noodles are premade, which is why they aren't the star of this fare. It's the broth, and since broth makes ramen more than the ramen makes ramen ... this is one of the best ramen places around.
Had char siu spicy miso ramen . Was disappointed. Broth was weak. Meat was delicious although was quite fatty. This is a cash only place - atm machine nearby. Line was not long during the week.
Huge line at lunch but the spicy pork miso ramen was amazing and exactly what I was hoping it would be.
Cash only establishment. There’s a BofA ATM machine to the left of the Bookstore entrance.
Authentic ramen . Simple, genuine and tasty.
Get the spicy miso if you have a stuffy nose. That stuff will kick your sinuses into gear like no other
I always had the Miso Ramen . It's classic, not too strong, not too greasy, just right.
What’s good? Everything. Bring cash.
The special meat (#7) one is great! Super tender and goes well with the ramen .
Easily the best ramen in the whole Bay Area.
Spicy miso ramen ???? is the best!!! Best ramen I have had in the Bay Area so far :)
Special pork ramen is delicious. Fast, cheap , the quality is excellent.
Get the special pork shio ramen , the pork is CRAZY GOOD. Tonkatsu ramen also really good.
The salt ramen is excellent and worth the wait in line .
They upgraded salmon roe rice and got more expensive . Santouka south cal is cheaper. Santouka Hong Kong has potato croquette set with Ramen . Santouka everywhere!!! (Even in Philippines)
Worth the wait - one of the best ramen spots in the South Bay .
The Salt Ramen is delicious!
Thick, luxurious broth. Ramen bowls come in three sizes (small is sufficient for me!!)
Best ramen in the Bay Area. Get the pork chasu don on the side. Yum! Expect to wait, though!
Delicious ramen .
#8 special pork with salt broth . Small
Spicy miso no:100!! ????
To go boxes are an additional $.25.
It's comparable in taste to the head restaurant in Japan. But the line is always mile long here even around 4pm.
Toroniku (special pork ) is very tasty. It's a long line so be prepared.
The Ramen is really good, but the wait is long. I guess one should first order and then shop in the supermarket while waiting for the Ramen .
If you're hungry, get one of the combos with the rice bowls .
Special pork with salt broth is amazing
Authentic ramen experience, right down to the long line .
Keep your ticket stub. Otherwise, no soup for you!
go for the extra special pork !
Salt broth with special pork is the way to go.
The miso ramen couldn't get any better.
I usually get the spicy miso (soybean paste) ramen . It's super good.
Kinokuniya book store has awesome Japanese stationaries and pens. It's a bit on the pricer side however it's still worth it. =) - Cindy Choe
Lots of food choices - Scott
50-minute wait during peak weekend dinner. Definitely can go up to 5-7 for spice level. - Heyun
I suggest ordering their gyoza...typically packed with more goodies than most places. The kara-age is good too, if they don't run out. =) - Eugene Mercado
personal fav is the white grape oolong, but you pretty much can't go wrong - George Yiu
