Incredible amount of design books and magazines . They also have niche toys such as nanoblocks. Just make sure to check www.booko.com.au before purchasing, you could end up saving a lot.

Stephen Weber

This Kinokuniya is huge and has a huge selection of books (manga included) in multiple languages. If you can't find something, use one of the computers (Kino Navi) or ask the staff .

Albert Mai

The biggest bookstore in town with a wide range of books , Moleskine notes and a book cafe . Still lacking many best-selling titles and newest books . Anyway satisfied. Even better with Free WiFi

Alex Torrance

Possibly best general bookshop in town (cos it's Japanese, and with broader Asian flavour. Though has all books from all over). Also cafe , little gallery etc. Must-see.

Creen D.

Large selection of books . Love their stationery section -- you can get a variety of different notebooks, pens, journals, stationery supplies, even washi tape.

Fran Cormack

One of the best book shops (the numbers are sadly declining) in Sydney. I could happily get lost in here for hours.

Kat McArt

one of the must visit book shops in the whole of Australia!

Rebecca Houlahan

Kino Halloween Fest today. They're doing free comic books , face painting , zombie finger puppet origami and they have 20% off comics and the same off books if you're in costume .

If you are looking for language books , check abbey's books nearby for price, eg one book sold at $45 at AB but $65 here. (Bookdepository at $35)

Browse for the books you like, go home and search for them at www.booko.com.au for the cheapest deal. Don't pay 39.95 for a book that cost 10 bucks overseas

Pedro Merces

Awesome selection of books and magazines - and of course, lots of Japanese stuff.

Cooper Smith

Don't miss the amazing design section, it's a bit tucked away

Great selection of graphic novels and manga . My current recommendations? GW Wilson's Rushdie-esque "Air" and B Willingham's postmodern fairytale, "Fables". Get the membership card before you begin!

Go here for the most complete range of Japanese craft and zakka books in Australia. Not necessarily the cheapest, but hey, the largest, remember? Their art & design collections are also nice. Read more

Japanese section has been reshuffled with new displays to sell more overpriced magazines and illustration books . Unfortunately it seems shoujo manga has been shafted with less shelf space now.

Justin Knol

Great place to buy Japanese stationery & pens. Got my fix of Zebra Sarasa 0.7mm pens here...
