Highly recommended. Great selection of real ales . Quirky and original, you will probably spend as long looking at the knick knacks on display as chatting to the locals. Very welcoming. Lovely staff .

Apple & Pear cider is going down well . Perfect stop off after a walk along the river . My first visit but I'll definitely be back.

Don't bother unless you're really just looking for a pub . Stuffed animals everywhere, including the VERY creepy right-anterior-paw-of-an-elephant and a giraffe-from-the-mid-neck-up.
Lovely roast, the beef was tender, the potatoes were crisp, and the Yorkshire pudding were just amazing, and everything for £8.50,... in Winchester, bargain!
