The 'new' soupwich is the bomb - soup of the day served with a toastie . It's sometimes hard to find a comfortable café for one, but this place accommodates lone diners and readers very well .

Lovely welcoming staff . Great long black. Good selection of newspapers for some reading, and a cozy warming atmosphere. Perfect cafe !

Sure the service isn't great, but the food and ambiance is superb. Get a bruschetta (try to prosciutto + feta ) and a coffee , read the paper, it's all good

Great spot to have a coffee and break, but not the best value: one piece of pumpkin bruschetta , one cheese and tomato baguette , 3 chais and one coffee = $40!

Nice atmosphere but the menu is pretty limited as far as breakfast options go. I had vegemite on toast and the coffee was good but a large coffee is small

Buy a $2.50 piece of toast or a bottle of water and you've paid the annual rent on the premises for them :-)

My fave place in Melbourne for a coffee - great avo & lemon bruschetta & LOVE the white bean and tuna salad .

My choc croissant came on a warm plate. That sums it up.

Not sure what happened but the coffee is awful and food was average.

Ask not to have the paper placed under the food! Why do cafe 's insist on this???? YUK
