Quite possibly the best Grilked Ham and Cheese Sammy you will have in your entire life. Add Kallas Mustard and a beer and you have perfection!! Great bar as well !

Mars is a landmark . It’s a great store to experience. Some things are a little pricey , but it is well worth the visit!

I loved the castle prior to remodeling... It was charming . It's nice now and the samples are great choices ... It seems a little more commercial now.. But still good

Most convenient place to stop along I-94 in Southern Wisconsin to smuggle New Glarus and mouthwatering sausages and delectable cheeses into Illinois.

As a wisconsin girl who now lives out of state , this place is heaven. Cheese curds , chocolate cheese , craft beer . Worth it!

Have to sample the cheeses and desserts on display. Great place for unique beers , wines and yes, even hot sauces you wouldn't find at your local grocery store . Very fun place to visit and experience!

Wonderful new location actually looks like a real castle ! The Mars Tavern now has its own entrance, too. Huge new store for cheeze, deli items , liquor & other foods.

Interesting find along the interstate. Had fun walking around looking at everything they offered.

Raspberry filled sugar cookies are very tasty. Just don't look for them after I visit, I usually buy their remaining stock for the day!

If you love cheese , then this place is a must! The Mars Cheese Castle is a great stopping spot when driving from Milwaukee to Chicago.

Should you need lunch , I highly recommend the Kings Ransom sandwich , toasted. It's fantastic and definitely big enough to share!!

Authentic cheese curds must be fresh! If they don't squeak when you bite, then they are not fresh! Malcore's are usually great.

Very helpful friendly staff ! & They'll give you a discount if you buy by the case (not that I would know).

Now that its bigger its ridiculous. employees are slow. wisconsinites are... well wisconsinites. the only fun thing are the chicagoans eating cheese bread (get... worth it... so good) complaining lol

The Chermake beef sticks are great. They're at the deli/cheese counter. To the right when you come in the front door.

Samples are amazing. Theres more than just cheese ! so keep looking . i.e : pastries , pretzels , bread

Tourist Trap. Cute but overpriced, many items in refrigerated sections were long out of date, few samples offered. Cafe was very good but the store, not so much.
