Servers in $6,000 uniforms whirl around trolley carts serving Dover sole, filet Peconic, and flambé desserts . Drinks like the classic martini are poured from cut crystal decanters. Read more
This place has it all: stunning space, good service with many tableside preparations and most importantly DELICIOUS food. Don't miss the pasta a la presse , crab cakes , prime rib and lemon chiffon cake
A theme restaurant for the wealthy, but one that puts everyone under a spell that they belong here, on this stage, where it’s always 1950s Manhattan , rain or shine. ★★★★
Outstanding place! Very ‘Mad Men’ (jon hamm was actually here the other night). You can’t go wrong with any of the steaks , but the prime rib cart service is an especially divine experience.
The defining dish: “pasta a la presse ,” in which roast duck , squab, pheasant , and bacon are put through a duck press to extract their juices ; they become the sauce for a smoky tangle of egg noodles . Read more
The cocktails and deserts are to die for (get the grasshopper Charlotte and the daily flambe) and the lobster Newburg and Guinea hen Claiborne are insane
The the best filet mignon (pepper sauce ) I’ve ever had. Amazing mashed potatoes and cottage fries . The spiced cauliflower and brocolli was also very good.
Elegant but still playful, the ambiance and service is lovely. The prime rib , steak ham , Dover sole and crab cakes were all well worth the hype!
Dover sole, pasta a la press , filet au poivre, martinis ... the makings of a perfect winter blanket
Carbone’s fancy spot for delicious prime rib , cocktails and fantastic service provided a perfect date night . Get the banana eclairs !
The Seagram crab cake , Dover sole riveria, nutted wild rice are a must. Cocktails were well prepared and the service was impeccable.
Stunning room, aces the old-school New York vibe. Do a cocktail . Do the duck . Don’t skip dessert (order whatever’s being flambéd).
Super nice event space & restaurant . Had a good time here. Mashed potatoes with chicken was great & so were all the little apps & finger food
Go for the excellent dishes prepared table side, including the crab louie salad , prime rib, cherry jubilee and ask about their duck press .
Stopped by for lunch . Great server and the vibe is just like the old Four Seasons. Food was good but jus felt like priced up takes on the classics. Guess I'll have to try at dinner
The ambiance and cocktails are superb! Flavor profiles didn’t exactly impress me.
A beautiful restaurant , a place I can visit everyday or once half month.
Chocolate praline cake is overrated. Get the lemon chiffon . Heavenly light and airy with real lemon flavor
FANTASTIC dinner . Great vibe and wonderful service
I don’t like red meat much but loved the prime rib . The meat on the rib bone itself is amazing
Amazing experience, the food, the atmosphere, the service, perfection
The kruellers are the best thing ever. Veal chop pretty good.
Pretzel bread tastes really good for the first time with their salted scallion butter.
Definitely go on a corporate card. Overpriced for what you get and the $ sign art in the men’s restroom is truly a sign of the type of restaurant this is...
I’ve never enjoyed a pretzel but the pretzel stick in the bread basket is divine
Beautiful room. Food and service sadly underwhelmed after all the hype. I wanted to love it, but it felt slightly complacent.
Crab cakes and pheasant are exquisite
The tuna tartare was my@favorite
The defining dish: “pasta a la presse ,” in which a strong-armed soul wrings roast duck , squab, pheasant , and bacon through a duck press to extract their juices . Read more
It has gone to their head. Reservation confirmed a month in advance, through a top NYC hotel concierge , was changed by the restaurant to 6:15pm last minute, we cancelled. Such arrogance unacceptable.
Expensive and gaudy, with a financier scene to match. Delicious meat, but poorly constructed burger .
Fantastic spot for a martini
Pasta is great. Disappointed with the prime rib .
Expensive but worth it.
Stepped in for a gin sour ("the grill sour"). 18 bucks. Amazing cocktail . Wild vibes and I understand if someone hated it but I loved it
Cannot wait to dine!
Sit at the bar. Get some wine, tartare, and any of the pastas. Can’t go wrong. - mb bischoff
Lovely decor, our favorite dish was hands down the crab toast! - Shirley Lau
Beautiful, chic space. Avoid the turkey club. Fries are pretty great. - Rachel W.
Loved it here. Foie gras ribbons amazing, bread awesome, gnocchi, and beets. - Jordan David
The sushi house rolls are amazing. You must get the wagyu skirt steak . The service was amazing. - Jason Rodriguez
Cocktail maven Julie Reiner revamped the list here. As has always been the case, the room is dark, romantic, and old school--a perfect place for fun rendezvous or a business drink. - 7th.List
