White Rock Lake

Gorgeous lake though it's a little to close to the main drag for my personal taste. They have lots to do including fishing ,trails , and boat rentals .

Nice 9 mile lap around the lake , very scenic , and clean . Good place to spend the day & enjoy the weather. There is a place where you can rent kayaks at the corner of Mockingbird & E lawther =O

A pretty lake . Great place for kayaks and sailboats . The paved trail around the lake is quite popular with runners.

Beautiful lake within Dallas! However can sometimes be overcrowded on weekends. If you’re wanting more seclusion, try rainy days or mid week. Great walking trail and some scattered picnic table areas.

White Rock Lake Park boasts a gorgeous 9.3 mile biking trail ... take full advantage of it! If you don’t have a bike already, there are several nearby shops that can rent you a bike for about $35.

No better place to run or bike in Dallas. It's a great trail with beautiful views of downtown.

White Rock Lake has 9-plus miles of waterfront trails . Those who enjoy bird watching will find that the lake attracts a wide variety of birds; especially the green parrots at the south end of the lake

Great place for a morning or evening walk / run!

This is the perfect place to get away from city life for an hour or more. Love walking around this beautiful lake ... It's awesome.

Watch out for the cormorants roosting at north end of Lake near trail leading to pedestrian bridge . They will bomb you with extreme prejudice!

Features separate areas for large and small dogs, and a lake for refreshing fun. Open from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. year round, and closed for maintenance on 2nd and 4th Mondays.

Drive down Fisher Road with your date to the edge of the lake , and watch for the ghost of the Lady of the Lake to appear. If you don't see the Lady of the Lake , just make out.

Shhhh Don't tell anyone. City has done a great job fixing up the trails and the lake 's surroundings. If it weren't for some overzealous tree pruning it would be perfect. Motorists please drive slow.

During WWII captured German POWs (who served with the Desert Fox, Erwin Rommel) in Africa were housed in barracks on the shores of White Rock Lake.

Great park with beautiful location. Large dog areas! Many different groups meet here and it's has some shade area .

It is the exercise mecca of Dallas. It's a good bike ride and everyone is courteous and respectful.

Enjoy the view ...and use the bathroom in advance...porta-pottys are scarce...

Great place to chill and drink coffee in the morning! Very relaxing in the middle of the city .

This bench would be a great date spot . There's even a heart carved into the huge tree trunk.

This park is a spot for running, hiking , birdwatching , fishing and people-watching.

Does ayone know what kind of green birds are @ Winfrey Point. They tend to perch in the trees that are over the park benches .
