This tiny & practically hidden sushi gem punches way above its weight class . Prices are extraordinarily reasonable for the super-fresh fish they're serving. Rice is just right too. WinstonWanders.com
Everything! The dragon roll is amazing, spicy tuna roll is actually spicy and delicious, mackerel nigiri and the grapefruit green tea to warm your soul.
Love this hidden gem that's tucked away in a mini strip mall . Spicy walu, Barbie, Alaskan and green salad with ginger dressing are great. They let you pick your sake cup too from an assortment .
This is our go to for sushi . Great price, good service and unique menu. Try hello kitty !
Really fast and tasted so good. A special jem in the city . Prices aren't inflated like some other places. :-)
Best rainbow roll I've ever had. Sake don was decent. Crunchy roll was soggy.
Really good place for simple, fresh, relatively cheap sushi
Tried all happy hour rolls + Barbie and they were amazing!
I always get the Hello Kitty roll. There are few sushi spots that have mango with sushi !
Barbie 10/10, spider & tempura shrimp 9/10, California & hamachi mango 8/10
Amazing sushi but get there before/when it opens or you'll find yourself waiting an hour. Their space is tiny.
Tiny hidden inexpensive sushi delight. Great sushi happy hour , friendly staff .
The Barbie roll is great. Anything spicy destroys the subtle flavor of the sushi , so I wouldn't go with the walu here.
Great vibe and affordable sushi . Actually feels like you are transported to Tokyo
Tiny cozy place near Castro. Tai nigiri and fried mussels are good. Uni is okay
Best rainbow roll in the neighborhood . Yum yum yum!
I this was the best sushi I've ever had!!! So exciting!! Barbie roll and Sake
This hidden spot has a hidden happy hour worth all your pennies and dimes! Check it out 5:00-6:00PM only.
The walu is off the chain.
Great sushi for just $4.50/roll during 5-6pm happy hour .
Great cheap sushi . Barbie roll
My favorite sushi in the city , it's in the basement .
Buttery sweet fresh delicious.
Spicy walu roll and hamachi nigiri
Alaska roll melts in your mouth w/salmon and avocado .
Order the Barbie and spicy walu roll . Delicious.
Probably the best sushi I've ever had.
Can't go wrong with the Walu or GI Joe rolls.
The marinated sushi specials are spectacular.
Chirashi and maki rolls
Awesome nigiri !
Walu Roll. Hits the spot every time.
Made us wait 2 hours before telling us we couldn't be seated.
The location is good.
Great little place! Defo worth a visit!
Walu rocked! Looking forward to returning.
Still one of my favourite places in SF, even after coming back from Japan. Get the Barbie Roll ????????
Its very training wheels, but tuna and avocado tartar was pretty damn good.
Barbie Roll for the win!
Pretty awesome little sushi hideout
Barbie roll is just as good as everyone said it is.
The best selection of cover tunes to eat raw fish to on the planet.
Best Walu in the city !
Wonderful Walu here
Cheap Sushi
Seems a bit like it wouldn't be out of place in Blade Runner.
Fabulous service. Great fun
Cozy little place. To quote my wife - "I like sushi time"
Les meilleurs des sushis !
Outstanding tofu. Solid options for vegetarians and great spicy tuna to boot. - Mark Munro
Order: baked mussels, spicy scallop roll, crab hand roll; nigiri: tataki albacore, sake, hamachi, unagi, uni (if available), saba; bonus: mango salmon roll. - Joshua Nguyen
Bring some cash and a date for top notch whiskey cocktails. Fun spot. Seating tends to be limited. - Megan Allison
The chocolate chip cookie was delicious...if not in the classic shape. ;) - Lucas Gardner
Cheap beer, great vibe, tons of energy. Both staff and clientele are so nice. Ahi tuna burger is my favorite thing on the menu. - Scottie Milagro
