Cypress is only 30 minutes from downtown Vancouver and is proud to continue to provide our skiers, riders and sliders with the most vertical drop, most terrain, most lifts and best snow conditions on the highest skiing and riding peak of Vancouver's Legendary North Shore Mountains.

Not comparable to Whistler , but it's a nice alternative since it's only 1-hour drive from Vancouver. Highly recommend ignoring the parking attendant to park closer to the lifts.
Hardly 30 minutes from Vancouver, Cypress is the locals choice to get some turns in! Awesome low-key vibe and a really fun mountain to spend the day on
You should go for hiking and of course you should go for skiing at winter time
Bar none, one of my fave winter dates. Moonlit cross-country skiing or snowshoeing with a stop at Hollyburn Lodge to relax with a hot chocolate and a local band . If you go in the day then pack a picni
Amazing hikes in the summer - try to get a weekday off though, it's worth it for the privacy
Very good for sknowboarding. The store there also has some equipments that's cheaper then in Vancouver downtown.
GIB Tip #42 for surviving the Wet..uh...we mean 'West' Coast: Optimism is key. If it's raining in the city , it's snowing on the local mountains !
Amazing slopes . beware of ridiculously long lines during the holiday season
Head over to the Crazy Raven chair. While the chair may be slower, it has some of the best terrain on Cypress . Its also a lot less crowded during peak periods.
Shout out to the people whose winter gear consists of 4-5 layers of MEC summer gear.
Whistler has priced the locals out. Cypress is a great ski area .
First ski adventure ever. Great place to begin. Beautiful sea views
Looking for something new? Try one of their guided snowshoeing tours ! Really! We had an awesome afternoon and spent less than $40 per person!
One of the best place to Ski/board in Vancouver in my opinion! Easy access , great snow most of the time and various skill level for everyone to enjoy..
Best and biggest local ski lodge !
Awesome local mountain . I try to go here several times a season - well worth it.
if you live in van, great place to ride local! i live in the squish so i goto whistler instead!
Cross country skiing here is great! lots of trails , and there is a lodge by the frozen lake with hot food.
Weekdays and evenings. More space. Less queueing.
Don't go down the black diamond runs after a dump of fresh snow LOL you'll end up walking the whole way.
Go snowshoeing under moonlight then relax at the lodge with a hotchocolate and some live music .
Charge your recon instruments goggles before you ride. They work a lot better when the battery has juice .
Great view .!! accessible and lots of snow
you can get tickets at the rental shop if the normal ticket line is too long.
