Lake Elkhorn

If you have trouble finding parking you can always park at the office buildings across from the dam . There is a tunnel that will guide to the path around the lake . 1.9 miles.

Walking around the lake ...you might discover a "fore pond " at the end opposite the dam . I have spotted beaver, deer and many varieties of birds at that end.

Runners: park at the Lakeview Office Park across Broken Land Parkway and take the steps down to the trail . From there, it's two miles exactly around the Lake and back.

Great walk around the lake , come prepared to do push-ups, sit-ups, stretches and surprisingly tough training along the way! A great outdoor gym !

Nice place to walk your pet !

This has a nice 1.99 mile loop trail around the lake .

Don’t be a dick and chase the geese and babies out of the path.

Full path open now and the dredging is done - parking lot access is still limited to Cradle Rock entrance though - as of April 2010, the Broken Land entrance remains gated off.

The lake looks like there is a green rug floating on it...my dog and I will be looking for a new place for him to go swimming

Nice place to jog, walk and bike . You have to go around the lake , no shortcuts.
