Lake Kittamaqundi is a 27-acre man-made lake. Its name, taken from the first recorded Native American settlement in Howard County, means "meeting place." The lake is a popular gathering spot for many summer activities including Lakefront festival, Lunchtime concerts, and 4th of July fireworks.

Take a walk around the lake . While the commercial side is nice, there are natural wonders that abound on the opposite side. Eagles, hawks, herons sometimes fish this side...it's an easy hike .
Beautiful place to go running, biking or just walking around the lake , especially as new lanes are being developed behind Whole Foods and beyond!
Lots of places to eat, throw down a blanket, enjoy the scenery, ducks and the fireworks on the 4th are AWESOME!
I love this park and come and experience it for yourself
For the new pier this summer, paddle boat rentals are here! $15 for a half-hour, cash or check only.
Stay late enough after a lakefront activity and you might be lucky enough to catch the break dancers that come out to practice. Awesome.
