All of the pastas are amazing, but they probably have a special that’s extra amazing, like paccheri with pork shoulder ragù . Hit the wine bar downstairs for a less crowded , more intimate experience.

This is one of our favorite restaurants in all five boroughs. We’ve waxed poetic before, but forgot to mention the White Salad and the Faro Salad , both hidden gems .

Henry Bridge

Great food and atmosphere, and relatively reasonable. Loved the malfatti and carpaccio . Didn't like the rabbit (it was super pungent/gamey) but maybe it's just not our thing.

Amruta Buge

Ragu and Spaghetti Vongole were incredible. Appreciated the small details — bread served warm, food was on time, portions were just right, it was warm and cozy inside , and the service was great ☺️

CITY GRIT

This husband and wife team - Emiliano Coppa and Chef Anna Klinger - knocks it out of the park with their little rustic Italian spot . We love the Carpaccio , Corn Tortelli, & the Braised Rabbit .

Denise

New al di là Cafe by al di là Trattoria! Al di là is now serving La Colombe coffee at their bar (separate entrance on Carroll Street). Great coffee and pastries and it's such a lovely space!

Jane Katz

I am not someone who goes to restaurants 2x (it's nyc after all) but al di la is the best version of home.food is spot on, unfussy, perfectly seasoned, delicious. don't miss out. reco duck ragu pasta !

Chelsea Renaud

This is some of the very best rustic Italian food in all of New York, with a seriously charming environment to match. Pay attention to the specials and add the Tagliatelle al Ragu and a risotto .

Michelle Au

Everything I've had here is fresh and delicious. My favorite is the tripe , and the oxtail polenta for appetizer ; and the scallop corn risotto for entree.

Magdalena Welcz

Food is delicious and the interior makes this space cozy and gives unique atmosphere. Try daily special with a bottle of Italian wine ???? pear cake made the day.

Kevin Skobac

The pastas live up to the hype; we tried the daily meat ragu , a vegetable cheesse tortellini , and the clam spaghetti , all delicious and perfectly cooked. The two homemade pasta were the best.

Peter

Loved the steak and both side dishes- the mushrooms and the escarole . It is a tiny space that got very crowded and VERY loud super quickly. Only serve wine and 2 types of bottled beer .

Ros O'Flynn

For starter, Carpaccio was delicious (with some ground black pepper ). Had the spaghetti neri alla chitarra as a main - very very tasty!! Wish I had more time to try more, it all looked fantastic!

Get here early to avoid a long wait for a table, no reservations ! Start with the Trippa Alla Toscana, move on to the Tortelli Di Zucca Burro E Salvia, then the Braised Rabbit and finish with gelato .

Came here for my bday w/ my Italian Mom. Perfectly quiet and intimate . We shared an oozy, creamy risotto "of the day" and 2 salads . The risotto was, as we Italians say, bellisima!

Andrea Hong

Known as one of the best italian spots in the city , serves up dinner and weekend brunch . Can sometimes have a wait, or sometimes you get lucky and walk right in to delicious fresh pasta heaven.

Amanda Rella

Small restaurant - put your name down and grab a drink at Blueprint while waiting. Food here is delicious! Listen to the specials as well .

Great pastas and ravioli dishes. Get the beet ravioli if available. The rabbit or chicken are my favorite main courses and their desserts are always great

Vahid

they have a #bar behind the main restaurant . If you need to wait for your a table you can have a glass of wine in the bar and they will let you know when your table is ready.

Jane Katz

funghi e polenta may be my favorite brunch dish , ever. Make sure to get it with a poached egg . Also reco the carbonara b/c well , guanciale + spaghetti = heaven on earth

Steven

Had the malfatti and tagliatelle al ragu . Butter sauce of the malfatti is super tasty and great flavours for the ragu . Going to try the rabbit next time and risotto !

Nate Folkert

farro salad : warm spelt salad , roasted squash and cauliflower , red onion , greens, hazelnuts , goat cheese , and brown butter sherry vinaigrette

Rachel Port

Got a farro salad with beats and goat cheese , and an amazing special pasta dish with some kind of stewed beef and goat cheese as well , so so good.

If you want to try it without the wait show up for the brunch between 11 and 12, there should be a table for you. Carbonara was good, cauliflower ragu was great, and the fungi e polenta even better

The brisket hash is the best meal I've had in weeks. PERFECT poached eggs and so many flavorful vegetables !

Auzzie Yazd

The rose from Tuscany (by the glass) was fantastic. Had the pasta with ragu sauce, and it was great. Looks like a fairytale storybook inside. I'm excited I found this!

Craig Austin

Just a classic. Always a good pork ragu option. If it's crowded , you can order the same menu at the bar next door (behind the restaurant ).

You can’t make reservations here but once you DO get in, the food is pretty good. They have some really unique items on the menu (Braised Rabbit ). Be daring. Try something different!

Not only a good dinner spot, but fantastic lunch spot too. Not crowded during the week, can bring the kids.

Leah Ives

Everything was tasty but much more expensive than the menu listed here. Dinner was all around $25 per plate. So I was not happy about that. However, the service was great, the food was delicious.

I have tried and failed many times to duplicate their polenta . It's a lot easier to just walk in and get some. Yeah it's that good.
