Southern cooking is the middle of the country : as a South Carolinian visiting Iowa, Bubba's was a great find! The food: spot on and perfect! The ambiance and service: ideal! Highly recommended!

They aren't messing around with the comfort food here - it's fantastic. I recommend the chicken and waffles . The bar area is a warm, charming spot for a cocktail or three.

The fried chicken is indeed good. It comes with mashed potatoes so keep that in mind when ordering your other two sides. The hot sauce is also good but you’ll likely drink a lot ???? ????

Good selection of Southern favorites. The fried okra ap was unusual take and quite good. I had the blackened catfish which was excellent. Nice wine list with moderate prices . Would recommend.

fun selection of appetizers and entrees. Deviled eggs and biscuits are a must. Server was a bit slow and unfriendly but could be an off day. Will be back because of the food.

Upscale , southern cuisine in downtown DesMoines, Iowa. Great selection of whiskey , bourbons , rum , and craft beers .

Fried Chicken is awesome. Nashville hot has a nice kick to it.

Shrimp and grits first taste okay then downhill. Will not go for dinner again. Banana nut Manhattan was good so maybe drinks only
