The design is great, and the seating is great. The big problem though is that the food choice isn't that big, other then salads and sandwiches . There are some really crazy choices too.
One of our favorite places to eat (and drink) when visiting our Walnut St. store. Get the cheesesteak egg rolls (for a twist on the Philly classic). Save room for cocktails on the roof deck .
Really good tapas-style dishes to have in a great environment that's both family friendly and great for younger people. Fun decor and good service !
INCREDIBLE food. Brussel sprouts are orgasmis, Chilean sea bass is to die for and the warm chocolate cake with salted caramel pretzel ice cream .. MELTING. Amazing food, amazing ambiance.
The decor and seating are super fun. Swinging chairs are available for couples. The crispy brussels sprouts are delicious. The Korean bbq ribs had a little too much five spice for me though.
My family and I love coming here whenever we're in Philly. They have amazing and fun drinks, along with food that's unique and delicious, with inspiration from across the globe. Don't miss out.
Great places for drinks or a quick dinner , brunch menu is decent but not super creative. For dinner , go with the French onion soup dumplings and the cheesesteak egg roll !
Great breakfast and even better service! The eggs Benedict with smoked salmon is delicious, and the mimosas - while $10- are some of the best I've had.
Octopus cooked to perfection and the tapas size was the perfect amount. Followed with lump crab pad Thai - all of it delicious. Upstairs is a little quieter and the porthole windows are fun!
Adult juice boxes, rooftop bar , swing seating, and lobster mac and cheese are only a few highlights. Great place for dates. Usually a wait, make a reservation !
The swing chairs are really fun. My favorite dishes are the hummus , zucchini pancakes , and spinach ravioli . My boyfriend loves the miso glazed Chilean sea bass
Try the mid town mocha . Light, chocolatey , amazing. The melon drop is equally delicious. And don't let the cheesy exterior deter you...you must actually go all the way in the see how uncheesy it is.
Amazing food and great service. Tons of good shareable and delectable mains. Make a reservation .
Continental Mid-town offers a 'global tapas ' menu. The restaurant 's primary draw are the pretty drinks and robust social scene. If the weather is good, try the rooftop bar . Read more
I love the drinks here. This is a trendy restaurant , but I see people with their kids there all the time. Portions are great, and prices are fair .
Continental is fantastic, but prepare for prices. Two cocktails and an order of lettuce wraps can be $50. That said, excellent date spot .
Enjoying an awesome bottle.of Kendall Jackson pinot noir , tuna tar tar and a pad Thai dish. It is about 915pm on ausgust 31st...and life couldn't be better in the swinging chair with fabulous food and
It's a very fun atmosphere . See the bathrooms (hilarious). Lobster mac to die for. Try the French onion soup dumplings for something different.
dropped in on a hungry stomach. very laid back style.. back in time.. shoestring fries were a little work. cheesesteak egg roll was great! bucket seats were cool
Shoestring fries , Cheesesteak egg rolls , Cheeseburger , Tuna tostadas , Chicken tikka masala , Mojito , Pomegranate margarita
The restaurants cool vibe and interesting menu gives you a different, and still delicious experience. Their French Onion Soup Dumplings and the Lamb Flatbread are definitely among the menu favorites.
The perfect spot to 1) drink martinis ; and 2) drink enough martinis that you won’t be bothered by the fact that you’re drinking with the crowd that frequents the Continental.
Get the lobster Mac n cheese and the Cobb salad !! Both very yummy! Also you must sit upstairs in the hammocks !
Awesome cocktails . Try the Hawaii 5-0
Try the Sczechuan Shoestring Fries - With Chinese mustard sauce . I usually hate shoestring fries , but these are incredible. I think it's that sauce.
If you're on a date, don't get the shoestring fries--no way to eat them and look impressive to a date. If you're NOT on a date, get the shoestring fries--they're addictive and amazing.
Great vibes. Super cool retro feel, and an interesting upstairs/ outside. Got the pastrami fried rice .
Delicious, hip restaurant with creative drinks and small plates to share at an affordable price
Shoestring fries with Szechuan mustard are great - more like haystack thank shoestring - get mustard on side - dip fork and then grab fries
Excellent food and atmosphere! We absolutely loved this place!
After years of checking out Midtown's rooftop deck , I have to say, it's still a place to see and be seen. Nice looking crowd, decent global cuisine (stepped up from years past) and the roof deck !
Ask them to go "easy on the ice" for your Bloody Mary or it'll be almost all frozen filler.
The global tapas menu includes Korean tacos , French onion soup dumplings , and lobster mac 'n' cheese . Read more
Szechuan Shoestring Fries with Chinese mustard sauce . best fries in Philly
They won't refer to this place as a Tapas place , but order the Cheesesteak Eggrolls and surround them with any of their other tasty creations to complete the meal.
A Moscow Mule cocktail , made from Ketel One, lime and house-made ginger beer , should do you right.
Go to the elevator on the side under the squiggly light to access the roof deck . Open all year round. Enclosed in winter.
The Pomargarita is excellent. I'm more of a vodka/cranberry woman, but this drink was perfect!
Rooftop lounge is a great weekend hangout. Beers are affordable ($5-6) and there is a nice wine/liquor selection. Bourbon manhattan 's come in tiny martini glass.
Really cool place, food is great. Went with a group and everyone enjoyed it.
Great Martini . Hummus plate Is a great app to share while enjoying a cocktail
Quinoa 'Tabbouleh ' is very good. Super filling. Chicken Tikka Masla is also a big portion !
The rooftop lounge is Mid-town’s pièce de résistance. Partially enclosed so that it’s servicable year-round, the deck area is one of the most popular nightspots in the Rittenhouse Square neighborhood .
One of the best spots for brunch in Philadelphia, The Continental features retro décor and even better salads as one of the most distinct spots in Philly.
This swanky restaurant is great for appetizers and happy hour . Their fun, inventive cocktails are a must.
Oh my goodness don't miss the Cheese Steak egg rolls ! Pairs with any cocktail .
Great friendly service . Nice place for drinks and ambiance, not too crazy about the food. Oh, and hit the rooftop bar after dark, duh!
Be sure to try the Tuna Tartar . It's amazing as is the Nai Ra Thai Chicken . These folks must be getting their ingredients from the farmer's market because everything's so fresh and tasty! :)
Skip dinner and go straight to dessert with Mid-Town's affordable small plates sweet menu. Mix and match desserts from $3 (cotton candy ), $4 (s'more cones ) and $5 (mascarpone cheesecake ) categories Read more
