The best people watching in the city . This place always feels so welcoming and cozy , filled with all kinds of people. Bring a book , some food, or just yourself. You can always find a seat.

One of five original open-space parks planned by William Penn, this one is named after 18th-Century astronomer David Rittenhouse . It's now one of the most expensive areas to live in the city .

Check out the farmer’s market on the weekends! There’s an apple cider donut stand that sells the softest, freshest donuts ($1). Get the Apple cider taffy too ($0.50)!

My co-worker strongly visit this area. People goes by, walk with dogs, fun with kids.

Originally called Southwest Square, Rittenhouse Square was renamed in 1825 after David Rittenhouse , a clockmaker and friend of the US Revolution, as well as an astronomer.

Perfect for people watching and summer wedding photos. The local church plays bells on the hour. Stop by the cafes nearby and sit on the patio .

Walnut Street near Rittenhouse Square is a Philly Fashionista's stomping ground. Take a stroll through the park and hit your favorite boutiques and restaurants along the way.

Beautiful park , large plots of grass if you enjoy picnics or laying in nature, and plenty of benches to sit a eat/drink/read.

If visiting Philly around Xmas or New Years, stop by at nite to check out the holiday lights.

Easy parking in deck next to B&N. Enjoy the nice weekend farmer 's market . Get a burger and fries at Rouge. Mojito at Alma de Cuba on Walnut . Romantic dinner at nearby Tria.

Brought the GF out for a Saturday, it was gorgeous weather, we ate food we made and brought a bottle of wine , it was great, it was free and we could even hear some fantastic music being played

Rittenhouse Square is 1 of the 5 original parks planned by Pennsylvania during the late 17th century. The square includes several of the city 's outdoor sculptures like Paul Manship’s Duck Girl of 1911

Be alert of the big rittenhouse bush rats !! They'll catch ya by surprise during warmer seasons. Btw bring a blanket, the ground is always moist for some odd reason, unless you enjoy muddy grass stains

Philly's most popular downtown park . A long walk from the venue, but head there after the conference or on the weekend.

Look for the man with the two Bernese Mountain Dogs. They are so beautiful and if you ask he'll let you pet them!
