We came for our anniversary and the staff was so wonderful with helping us celebrate. We had the tasting menu which was wonderful. I highly recommend the polenta and the pasta bolognese !

Eric Litman

It's not on the menu , but their cacio e pepe is one of the best I've had. And the Tuscan seafood stew is served over bread , has a divinely cooked piece of snapper , and is a savory bowl of heaven.

Ms Helene

Start with asparagus and cucumber salad with light yogurt dressing $14 then whole roasted sea bass on crispy potatoes and fennel stuffed with lemon and rosemary $68.

Cole Kennedy

Absolutely adored the Hearth Broth. And also sitting at the bar for dinner on a Saturday night. The meatballs and whatever the ragù pasta is, are a perfect pairing for a shared dinner .

Sam Winnick

Great date spot or small ground dinner . Ambiance is good. Order lanis greens and the warm autumn vegetables to start. The chicken is very good, the meatballs are good, and the canestri.

Marco Canora recently transformed the menu at his 13-year-old East Village Italian restaurant , to align it with his newfound vision of health, but the food is as rich and pleasing as ever. Read more

CITY GRIT

Don’t tell, but sometimes Sarah sits at the chef’s counter and orders Chicken for Two – for one! Fall Vegetable Salad is delicious, worth making a trip to NYC just to try it! The wines list is magic!

Raphael Langenscheidt

The ragu is good - but the gnocchi are the opus magnus. Like a cloud of butter - in the best way. The wine list is extensive and even includes 8 (!) orange wines . Quiet , relaxed, delicious.

Laurea de Ocampo

Menu redesign is A++. Such a delicious dinner - Bone marrow turmeric broth, bread with lardo & butter, gigante beans, clams , and a prolific wine list . Going on my rotation!

Lisa Finn

Great brunch - light, yet filling. Everything on the plate is fresh and vibrant. Plus, they have an amazing bar selection of wines , ciders , and original takes on traditional brunch cocktails .

KE

The gnocchi is to die for, broth, rigatoni were great. Try the pear salad and the garlic bread apps! Pass on the Japanese sweet potato salad , octopus . If you have room for dessert - chocolate pudding !

Arminda Guillama-Rodriguez

Great service, especially wine selection . The tasting menu is great for those who might have a hard time choosing (as we did) and gives you a good cross-section of apps, entrees and dessert .

LaDawn Penigar-Mitchell

The rigatoni , gnocchi , ricotta meatballs and polenta are all great dishes! I recommend sharing plates and enjoying good company over a delectable bottle of wine

Kelsey✨

Reasonably priced prix fixe dinner menu w/wine pairing. The scallops , ceviche , and risotto are all standouts

Serious Eats

Casual but nicely elevated farm to table Italian in the East Village , one of our favorite spots for a nice but relaxed meal or a good drink. The local vibe extends to the cocktails , too.

EM H.

Was good place to celebrate anniversary. Rustic , cozy , upscale casual atmosphere , great food philosophy, and tasty dishes.

Wilson Zhou

The "Variety Burger " is a medium-rare patty made from a coarse grind of brisket , chuck, heart, and liver . It's served with sweet potato wedge fries (heresy!) and without a bun (hiss!). ★★★

Ritchie Linden

Sat at the pass by myself, really relaxed and pleasant chat with the other customers. Did the tasting menu with the wine pairing . The food was incredible and wine was outstanding, super service too

Eric Abergel

Fantastic Food all around! Had the tasting menu and enjoyed every part. My only complaint was that I wanted more pasta at the end, so it wood have been better to order directly from the menu!

DoubleDeuce

Tasty dishes here for sure. They aren't as small as other NYC tapas plates but they still provide the chance to get a lot of variety without getting too much food. Tips are baked into the prices too.

Kiwi Wang

So consistent, so delicious. Sit at the counter and watch their perfectly professional and talented chefs up close! Have been going for over 10 years and have never had a bad dish.

Eater

This restaurant serves one of the best ragus in the city , & the menu always includes a few terrific vegetables dishes , great meat entrees, and gracefully prepared fish courses. [Eater 38 Member]

Jamie Dumbill

Awesome tasting menu and wine pairing . Ask if you can sit at the kitchen seating.

Sean Stenstrom

East Village restaurant still serves one of the best ragus in the city , and the menu always includes a few terrific vegetables dishes , monster meat entrees, and gracefully prepared fish courses.

Lori Luo

Italian-American dishes are executed to perfection at Hearth, under the watchful eye of Marco Canora. Get the meatballs and/or gnocchi , and don't forget an order of the apple cider donut holes.

Ashley Chan

Dark and rustic vibe. The food is great, especially the gnocchi which literally melts in your mouth. Get the bone marrow , lamb tongue (very tender) and cauliflower as well !

Jason Su

Awesome, unique brunch menu with great prices. Loved the sausage and kale ragu . Would come back in a heartbeat.

Collette S

Great date spot . All food is fresh, upscale . Knowledgable staff and great cocktails . Get the gnocchi and the berry salad .

Munchies

Chef Marco Canora launched the bone broth craze at Hearth, where he serves various homemade broths out of the pastry door of the restaurant . Read how he became obsessed with broth's curative effects. Read more

Eater's Hottest Burgers Sp'16: "variety burger " - feat chuck & brisket , w/heart & liver . Organ meat adds minerality to pan-seared patty. Served w/o bun under caramelized onions & fontina cheese

Shrutika Sachdev

A *not* boring menu with a little bit of something for all. Pasta , Meat, Vegetables , Fish ! Everything is good but it didn't hit the 'great' for me!

New York Post

Imagine an over-the-top carrot cake a la mode, and you have Hearth’s sinfully savory Carrot Cake Sundae ($11). The toasted carrot cake cuts through cream cheese ice cream , with caramel and pecans Read more

Everything is delicious and tons of vegetarian options . Enjoy the gnocchi and mushrooms or the fusilli .

John Colglazier

Great cider selection . Start with the sourdough bread w/grass-fed butter and try the meatballs as entree. Fantastic!

Missy Mackey

The ricotta meatballs , the apple crostata dessert and the pear walnut salad were all delicious. The service was lovely too.

The burger is a destination dish for a reasonable price. V good. Everything else is good/seasonal/etc., but not super memorable. Menu always changes so worth visiting regardless.

Chad Horner

definitely order the gnocchi , burger , and pork milanese if they're on the menu. it's a somewhat meat-heavy menu that still feels very light

refinery29

The menu takes inspiration from traditional Tuscan cooking, but the results are decidedly modern. The menu changes daily and it's always worth the suspense. Read more

Thank you to those that recommended the gnocchi , veal ricotta meatballs , and apple cider donuts . Tried lots of things but these were the stars of the show!

Jason Gelman

SO good. Theres a reason Gnocchi is in every tip - get it. The Lamb is prepared 3 ways and is fantastic. Great romantic intimate setting for a special occassion .

Leslie T

For big appetites: the Pork Bev Steak . The veal meatballs are a solid choice! Cocktails are well-made here! This restaurant is a part of the Terroir Wine Bars ' family.

Igor Levit

A great brunch experience. The veal meatballs are tremendous. And if you're a fan of the Bloody Mary , Hearth serves some of the best in town .

Get the lamb , get the mushrooms . We were too late, but apparently there's a chicken dish that they only serve 1 of each night. Ask the waiter if you can get it, it looked awesome.

GQ Magazine

The tasting menu here is no hushed event : it’s raucous and exciting and always straight-up satisfying.

Vanessa Vergara

Nice place, very cozy and easy talking :)

David Zhang

Great for brunch and dinner . But you can only get those amazing apple cider donuts at dinner .
