Love it in off season. Summer get there early to get spot, as beach is small at high tide .
Large beautiful beaches there is a reason why they call Maine “Vacationland” it’s perfect. Great shops and places to eat. Great family spot . Expect it to be be busy during the tourist season.
Check the tide schedule . During high tide you're better off near the bathhouse at the middle on the beach . (Unless you like your stuff underwater)
Great for kids, my little guy enjoyed every minute of it. If you look real hard you will see a seal or two sticking its head out the water :-)
Great walks along this beach-ice cream shops and food on the way. Beautiful views .
Try to get a spot on the beach by the road . When the tide comes in a lot of the goes under water. Great beach .
Beautiful, calm place .
At the moment still mostly locals. This is a good thing! Beach is clean !
Great beach loved it hope to visit more this summer.
Eat at the Lobster Cove for lunch so much better than Sun and Surf . (cheaper too)
it is a very beautiful and quiet place
There’s a lot of parking and you have seats to sit down
Yay yay yay

Beach can get real crowded at high tide, but it's the best place to be! - Kathleen L.
Perfect local beach! (You need a permit to park but there is some 2 hour parking up the hill). Soft sand, crisp water & clean restrooms nearby. - Laurea de Ocampo
One of my favorite lighthouses, however, very crowded during season. - Spencer Lawn
The lunch wraps are decent and the pasta salad and French fries are great - Catherine Manzi
