Short Sands Beach is a beach York County located in United States.
Ocean Ave (btw Long Beach Ave & Main St) York Beach , ME 03910 United States
Very rocky here this year (2013, Aug). Far left side had the least amount of rocks but also the most people. We still like the location though. Parking police are very strict!
Remember the tide times! Don't set your place near the water or you will have to relocate further up the dry beach .
If u go all the way to the right side of the beach & look in the sea weed you'll find starfish and all kinds of stuff the kiddos would love to find
Get there early for prime beach spot . Don't sit too close to water, when the tide comes in you'll have to relocate
I love this beach . Watch sunsets , fireworks , and crazy people surf in freezing weather!
Close to food, parking and shopping. Plus a nice beach !
Great waves here for adults and kids, even at low tide!
Recently rebuilt (2014) wbathrooms and changing rooms are awesome!
Beach can get real crowded at high tide , but it's the best place to be!
You can get quarters for parking inside Fun-O-Rama
If this beach is too crowded go to Long Sands. But not at high tide -there IS NO beach then!
Like it here.
It is sooooo cold! We dont have water like this in the south..
The kiddos love it here!
Need to figure something out about the rocks here!!!!
Get a spot early if you're here for the fireworks display. The grass fills up fast! - Rob Beland
Love it in off season. Summer get there early to get spot, as beach is small at high tide. - Krysten Sullivan
Perfect local beach! (You need a permit to park but there is some 2 hour parking up the hill). Soft sand, crisp water & clean restrooms nearby. - Laurea de Ocampo
Love the Nubble Lighthouse, quaint antique shops, long walks with beautiful views of historic buildings, lobster boats and waterways. - Shauna Mendelow
I thought I hated all taffy until I tried the product at the Goldenrod. It's amazing and the Maine blueberry flavor is fantastic. - Steve A
Really cool lighthouse, but you aren't able to go on the island. - Ashley
