State politicos, including LBJ, have wheeled and dealed for decades over the excellent migas , huevos rancheros , chorizo , biscuits , fajitas , and enchiladas that Cisco's serves for breakfast and lunch .
get the migas , with the tortillas on the side. take a tortilla and make a taco with migas , beans, warm salsa , and sausage . wolf down. then take a biscuit and slater with butter and honey . wolf down.
Forget upscale comfort food . There's nothing upscale about Cisco's and that's why we, and our hangovers, love it. [Eater 38 Member]
The bisquits are wonderful and fluffy! Diane is a brilliant server, and everyone is nice. Try the migas taco with chorizo ! The fajita beef is so tender. Reakly seems you can not go wrong!
Tortillas and biscuits are so good. I hear good things about the migas but I can't stop ordering the picadillo .
Authentic and greasy, this East 6th institution cures almost any hangover. Try the Cisco Plate for a taste of everything or do the migas with a side of fajita steak if you’re into eggs .
SXSW Recommendation from Sietsema-Migas is the #1 choice, but you can also get huevos rancheros w/ refried beans & a choice of tortillas or biscuits . This is his favorite restaurant in the world.
Best lunch specials . Fantastic breakfast . Great atmosphere. I love this place and come at least once a week.
The chicken fried steak was excellent! The customer service...was excellent! Great place to have a bite to eat.
Local and low key . Relaxed breakfast and dinner . Great hangover cure .
Be sure to get there early enough to get beans (they sometimes run out around noon) and order a Cisco Special with both biscuits & tortillas !
A staple for East Austin, Cisco's is only open til 2pm every day, but is always busy. Their breakfast migas have won local awards, the food is cheap and their service is always quick. Read more
Great happy hour deal , very tasty and authentic .
If you haven’t been here, you don’t know Austin. This place hasn’t changed much in the 50 plus years it has been open. It’s full of history and much of it is on the walls.
Get the migas with fajita
It's really not that great. Im sorry. The building is cool. I want to like it. I really do. The tortillas are store bought and that just doesn't cut it.
This place is unbelievable. Get the huevos rancheros !
Best Huevos Rancheros in town ! Ask to have your biscuits toasted, not a joke seriously!
Rancheros with fajitas and biscuits - will die happy. Seriously the best Mexican breakfast I've ever had.
Local neighborhood bar and bakery , suggest bringing cash for faster service
Don't bother looking at the menu - order biscuits with honey , huevos rancheros , and strip steak for breakfast .
Warm fluffy biscuits and flavorful fajitas . Yes please.
If you're averse to super spicy tell them to leave off the Ranchero sauce . It's a 5 alarm recipe.
One of the absolute TexMex restaurants in Austin, TX.
Love this place. Always good and great atmosphere.
The chorizo & egg taco is delish. Coffee is good, too!
If you don't have the biscuits and honey you're doing it wrong.
Biscuits and Mexican breakfast . Cheap , greasy, and good.
It's 2015, gay marriage may not be legal *yet* in Texas, but don't need to listen to a staff member's (possibility the owner) homophobic racially-tinged ramblings. Skip.
Order your eggs slightly more well done than you really want. Also, if you are too late, they will run out of biscuits , which is tragic.
Super tasty breakfast menu . Chorizo eggs FTW
Don't forget to tip the cooks.
Migas tacos w/ bacon and ranchero on side please and thank you!
Classic hole-in-the-wall, big portions . Service wasn’t great and kitchen very slow, waited almost an hour for our order
Chicken enchiladas FTW
order the migas no sausage picadillo meat instead, biscuits not tortillas and you are set for the day ahead of you!
Beware: fatty breakfast tacos . Dripping with butter? But definitely yummy
Inexpensive Mexican. What else is new. Alright.
Biscuits are amazing. No trip to Austin is complete without them.
Migas con Queso ! #1 in East Austin #FiestasPatrias
biscuits and Migas
Don't forget the biscuits for breakfast . Try the ribeye for lunch .
GET the chorimiga mexicana with both biscuits and tortillas !!!!
Tip The Cooks!
get biscuits . End of story.
Order Picadillo as an appetizer for breakfast .
Closes at 2:30pm.
Migas De loca nothing better
My favorites are the guacamole chalupa and the chicken mole tacos! Everything is good here though and the service is phenomenal. They are long time east siders too! - Mallory
Relatively new restaurant with a drive thru. You can see the chef grill the chicken from the walk up window. The agua refrescas are great! - Social News Network
This place is excellent- friendly service, great food, and an authentic feel. I recommend the huevos rancheros. Muy sabroso! - Freddy Hinojosa
The rotunda is stunning. I basically was able to just walk in after going through really quick security. The whole place was welcoming and beautiful! - Jackie Mann
The red curry is the best I've ever had. I'll consider getting the spinach pakora another day, and whatever you do, buy some kombucha!! - Stacey
