My SO had the green curry and I had the fancy cakes(which are SO BIG you likely only need one), and both were delicious. The neighborhood is violently Portlandia, but the food's worth it.

Beautiful setting in the heart of KC. I’m a native here and I just found this place for the first time while looking for gluten free vegan options . Such a cute store in a very cute neighborhood !

The 17th St was amazing, and I was told the Day After scramble was also delicious. Service was friendly but a little slow. I'll definitely be coming back

Very tasty and definitely veggie friendly (also has carnivore fare). Salmon Benedict was awesome. Cool vibe inside and interesting breakfast cocktails .

Really well done on a switch, a year ago things were bad, but today(1/17/15) went in after 7 months away. Place looks sharp, food was once again fantastic, and service was so much better.

Amazing food. I loved the potato bowl (minus the feta ). So good and so filling!

Simple yet innovative beef , seafood and vegetarian entrees are served with unusual vegetables , herbs, sauces and sides.

Chicken and biscuit with mushrooms was really good

After ascertaining that Lauren was working, we ordered the coffee , and it was wonderful. We were informed that the coffee is excellent even when Lauren is not working. Agree the French Toast is great!

Sure this is healthy, local, veg friendly food. But try the meat loaf . Or meat loaf Benedict on Sunday. Just sayin

Go to the Blue Bird Bistro and order the rib-eye steak , medium rare. Top it off with the apple dessert pastry and, if Lauren is working, get coffee .
