Best authentic Spanish experience in town . Start with Croquettas and a pitcher of Sangria , followed by Mariscada in green sauce . End your lovely evening with a walk around the lively West Village .
Very classy , look at my date! Oysters in ajillo are a must, save some bread to dip in the sauce. Paella wasn't as authentic as my grandpa's but the seafood was as fresh as can be & easily serves two.
Awesome, hard to find busy Old School Spanish. Great Paella , veal dishes , and the mussels are pure heaven. The waiters are in their 60s and we're not sure if they are speaking English, but who cares.
A long wait around dinner time, but sort of worth it. Great lobster paella , good sausage appetizer , and okay garlic soup . Might come back for paella and mussels
This place has been here forever. The staff is the same. The food quality/portions are the same. That's why it lasts. For the portion/quality it's a good value . Can split the paella between two.
Mussels in green sauce ! Also this place is awesome, has a great old school vibe and doesn't take a stupid break in between serving food like those other trendy west vill places.
It was founded in 1941. Amazing place! Shrimp in Mild White Wine Sauce is highly recommended. And Sangria of course :)
The shrimp in white wine sauce is mmgood! Service was great and the Martinis are nice and strong!
I never thought I would ever find damn good Pulpo A La Gallega outside of Spain and boy was I wrong! A must have.
So many kinds of sangria to choose from and to get even thirstier. Excellent deal on paella for a large group. Patatas Bravas never fail.
Absolutely fantastic food. Tried the octopus , broiled swordfish & veal chops . Lipsmacking entrees and additional appetizers :)
Lovely traditional restaurant with delicious paella - go for the seafood option !
The bread was cold and stale, the empeñadas were dry and kind of cold, the hot garlic sauce in the shrimp was oily with no flavor, and I am pretty sure the shrimp are frozen.
Even after living in Spain for six months, this place continues to top my list for best paella . Yum. Definitely get the Valenciana.
Scallops in white sauce were great. Bread is cold when it comes out, Rice was dry also thought it was weird it came w my scallops ... I thought sangria was very mediocre.
Paella and sangria are amazing. Worth the wait.
Very friendly staff , great good and large portions . Definitely a favorite!
Go here for some seriously good seafood . Try the pulpo .
I've never found their food to be that good or seemingly authentic . No tails were used in the lobster paella & my veggie paella had overcooked veggies in perfectly cooked rice ...weird. Weak sangria ????
Amazing paella and a serious deal in lobster - doesn't get much better than this!
Service a little slow and the food ok. Would give it a miss- plenty of lovely restaurants in the west village !
Paelle is great
Great ambiance! I feel like in Spain.
Red sangria , black bean soup , and chicken with garlic sauce with saffron rice . Enough said!
Mariscada al ajillo is killer
Best place in West Village so far! :)
The sangria was good but the paella wasn't outstanding
Paella was amazing!!!!
Old school restaurant that doesn't take reservations . The mushrooms stuffed with crab meat are a good snack . Be sure to get a paella though, it's big enough for two. Cheap cocktails , around $7 here.
Great seafood .
Everything is good here
Not a rice person but rice was amazing.
Can't imaging eating seafood anywhere else. Try anything on the menu, everything is great. The best!
This place is stupid good.
Seafood paella w/ lobster is delicious.
Try the Sangria - The best!
Everything is good here
Go for the mussels ...
Always sangria . Always shrimp in garlic sauce .
The sangria is fantastic and so is the service!
The rice pudding is heavenly!!!! Must try it :)
The best seafood in the city for over 69 years and still managed with perfection.
Chicken and garlic sauce .
Paella ! Sangria
The scallops in green sauce is delicious!
Garlic soup is what you want. Sangria is made to order, so beware.
The vegetable paella is the best.
even better paella , get the chicken garlic sauce
Paella marinera is awesome
get the garlic soup !
Try the black paella! You won't be disappointed! The waiters will also suggest a good bodied bottle of wine for a decent price! - Hans Wolf
Prawns, clams, fried corn, and Boston mackerel were all delicious. Enjoy them with a bottle of the Daniel Ramos orange wine. - Argelys Oriach
Great spot - amazing tapas and paellas. Perfect place to catch up with a bunch of friends. Enjoy the sangria and don't forget to get the churros for dessert. - Cristian Gonzalez
Get there early for cheapo drinks and a smaller - but similarly enthusiastic- crowd! - Jacqueline Trumbull
Good vibes, safe space. Divey AF and love it! Downstairs and upstairs spaces as well as outdoor in the warmer months - Autumn Choi
