We got the smoked yellowtail collar and yuba uni which were both so yummy. We also got the chirashi box (cute presentation) and chefs omakase -- great value and so good!
Amazing but expensive . Come sit people who like to share food so you can try everything. I especially LOVED the foie gras sushi (drooling). So many great uni options. Not a huge space so make RSVPs.
Snow crab and uni roll $20, salmon platter $22 & hamachi ceviche $12 plus shishito peppers $7 for 2 light eaters
Chirashi and omakase are to die for! So tasty.. The atmosphere could be better: it's has a quiet Japanese attire with dimmed lights and wooden tables ... And rock music , for some reason.
There's no sushi bar seating so the omakase isn't served piece by piece. Still the best mid-range omakase in the 'hood (~$50 for 10 pieces) and fantastic kitchen apps
Amazing sushi omakase . Chirashi 's presentation was wonderful (and tasty also!). Loved the poached egg over musa, uni and ikura ❤️
The Senya Chirashi is a good choice, very fresh and delicious sashimi’s . The attendance is impeccable. I will come back for sure.
Had a great omakase sushi and omakase sashimi meal! Hamachi ceviche was delicious. Shishito peppers with lemon juice and grilled hamachi collar was delicious!
Highly recommend trying this place during restaurant week. Absolutely will not disappoint. The appetizers are delicious.
The chirashi is presented in such a cute way. Good for sharing if you order a separate roll!
Chirashi set is served in a cute , sectioned wooden box! Foie gras sushi is a must!
Sashimi omakase with beautiful plating. The owners Winnie and Kenneth are two of my absolute favorite people. A hidden gem !
Beautiful plating, good flavors but too expensive for the portion. Average 50-70 dollars per person if with appetizers and drinks
Not sure why the reviews are so mixed... In my experience at SenYa, the sushi and sashimi were fresh & the service was great as was the saki .
Brand new, real empty (only us on a Thursday night). The food is okay, but that foie gras sushi is really amazing.
All their dinners are incredible. I got the eel over rice and it blew my mind
Great spot....miso cod , spicy shrimp tempura , specialty rolls all delicious
Hamachi collar is the bomb! Also the sushi and sashimi omakase are good value .
This place rules - yuzu hamachi roll, kale salad w poached egg , all shrimp apps are delish
$50 for a 10 piece omakase . Good quality sushi and easy enough to get a reservation .
I have gone to Senya twice. Both times we have had reservations and been seated an hour after the scheduled time. The hostess provides deeply misleading estimates about when you will be seated.
10 piece omakase for $45. Very good, but Sushi Dojo across the street is even better.
Not impressed. They use fresh ingredients and their prices are great, but they lack execution. Many of my pieces were over sauced. The rice was the biggest issue, very loose and not properly packed.
Everything was fantastic.
Delicious!
Omikase was incredible!!
Got the chirashi box and the sake don. Both were subpar. Fish didn't taste that good. Best thing was the water cake . Too pricy . Wouldn't return.
Don't try the sukiyaki it was practically tasteless
My favourite and in my opinion best affordable sushi place in town. Go for the lunch specials if you can! - T S
This is my absolute favorite omakase - Chef Masa is incredible ???????????? - Phil Toronto
Terrific place for solid sushi. 30 mins per seating. Ready set eat! The scallop with shiso is a must. - J L
Happy hour, interesting cocktails and excellent oysters. Everyone's super nice. Happy hour daiquiris. - Kixhead H
