The hand roll sampler is a great value for getting a taste of lots of tasty sushi , and the truffle laced chawanmushi. Get a daily special roll or two, too, especially the eel if they have it.
Incredible $13-$18 lunches in serene environ . Handroll specials: negi Toro , blue crab , salmon avocado , spicy yellowtail . Set menus: soy fried chicken or washu udon beef rice bowl , all w/ chawanamushi
Authentic Japanese sushi experience, the $75 Tasting menu was delicious or order a la carte to try a variety of Japanese dishes . The seaweed was fresh and crispy , seafood and rice quality was 8/10.
Awesome sushi spot with great creative and cooked options. Opt for the back room counter - great environment. Albacore nigiri , mussels and the shrimp tempura handroll
The domokase is delicious & a great sampler. Chawanmushi, torched tuna , hand rolls and signature desserts were amazing. Great sake list too. A bit loud inside but a great meal @ a reasonable price.
to eat: chawanmushi, uni squid ink pasta , lobster/mushroom/unagi handroll . they will split the sampler for 2 people if you want! to drink: belgian/japanese brewed beer and extensive sake menu.
We ordered the $45 menu, that offers 6 or 7 dishes to try many options from the menu. The hostess , waiters and chefs were really kind and had much attention to small details. Definitely recommend!
Excellent sushi . Good Covid protocols. Pretty good service . Be careful: omakase sushi menu only available at the sushi bar — make sure you book that type of reservation if that’s what you want.
Inventive omakase at a really reasonable price for Manhattan and the quality - probably my new favorite in the city . Beautiful interior setting too.
Everything is fresh and delicious here. Try as many hand rolls as you can. Favorites: spicy tuna , black miso cod , scallops , blue crab
Hand rolls are outstanding. Doesn't matter which one you get. We got the Hand and Sushi roll special. It started off with blue point oysters that had diced mango and flying fish roe on top. ????????????????
Best Sushi I ever had . The $75 tasting menu was amazing . Starting from Oysters to the matcha ice cream for desserts , everything exceeded my expectations
By far the BEST sushi I have ever had. Order a few of their hand roll combos, sit back & prepare to be amazed. Like a mini omakase for everyone at an amazing price. Only complaint? Cheap chopsticks!
Try the new lunch special ! Gives KazuNori a run for its money on the hand roll side, and easily have a zen and delicious lunch for two for <$40
One of the most underrated Japanese restaurants in NYC! Sushi bar in the back is the best place to sit (much more quiet than the main/front room)
Hand rolls were good , but actually liked the sushi pieces, shrimp peach/Apple salad and chawanmusi the best . Specially the albacore with goat cheese reduction. Get the handroll course with the eel
We had the delicious domokase set and split it between 2 ppl. We added two ala carte items: cold udon and salmon handroll . The greentea cheesecake is dense; not the fluffy kind
Carefully prepared dishes that leave you wanting more. Pictured here is the miso black cod with kabocha purée.
Lunch is a steal here - get the hand rolls (love the crab , spicy yellowtail , negi toro ) + a kitchen special (washu udon , soy chicken ) for 2 and decompress for ~$15pp
The blue crab hand roll and Toro were both excellent. The fish quality here is better than at 95% of sushi restaurants in NYC that I've tried.
Get friendly with a few hand rolls (blue crab is especially great) and then share the uni pasta to really seal your deal.
Beautiful, modern space and finely crafted hand rolls . The chefs clearly put their time a love into the preparation and delivery . Great selection of sake !!
Maybe the best hand rolls in Manhattan. Go for one of the set menus to get the best of what they have to offer.
Fantastic hand rolls and now an amazing 5 roll + app for $25 happy hour special M-Th until 630
Everything is here is literally amazing. Sit at their sushi bar in the back for a different, cool vibe
Great new handroll spot, the sampler was very good, I especially liked the smoked eel roll . Presentation and service were both excellent as well
Domakase was pricey but left pretty stuffed! Fresh sashimi and the octopus appetizer was out of this world!
Domosake is a great value for how much delicious food and for the quality of fish that you get.
Excellent omakase - great flavors and fish variety ???? ???? this is the uni handroll ????
Get one of the samplers or omakase sets... you won't regret it. Incredible sushi and rolls + ridiculously tasty chawanmushi.
Oyster mushroom ???? with truffle sauce + Miso cod hand roll = ???????? toro hand roll = ????Slay && the octopus = octoMORE please
Surprisingly good quality Japanese restaurant . The focus is definitely sushi - which is very fresh - but the lunch bento sets are awesome!
Went again. Didn't love the uni toast but loved the handrolls : blue crab , salmon avocado , spicy tuna , shrimp tempura
I recommend to go just for the hand rolls , blue crab , toro is great
Must haves the hand rolls , the chawanmushi, the king salmon & wagu uni nigiri .
Great handrolls ! My faves were the lobster , toro , and unagi . The oyster scallop dish was delicious as well !
My favourite and in my opinion best affordable sushi place in town . Go for the lunch specials if you can!
The "chocolate pudding " dessert is to-die-for. Amazing egg custard too!
Delicious rolls. We had great service and the vibe and ambiance is super stylish .
Good fresh sushi . Hand roll is okay. I prefer Sugarfish’s blue crab roll better. Their Matcha ice cream is very good.
My new favorite sushi place in NYC. So much better than Nobu.
The domokase was fantastic. Great sake selection as well
If you're lazy like me, go with the Domokase or the Handroll Course ???? ???????? ????
Terrific handrolls ! Definitely don't overlook the lobster and toro (tuna ) ones. Yumyumyumyum.
Omg. Oyster with pozu sauce is soooooo delicious!!! Its a must
Omakase is amazing
Great and inexpensive omakase spot. Really small so make sure you have a reservation .
$30 for their chawanmushi and four rolls. Good, but not mind-blowing. Also, I had to get another two rolls to leave satisfied.
Low key spot in the village .Great nigiri and overall delicious fish .
tuna cones & hand rolls are amazing!
The sashimi is absolutely delish and super free! Also order the soft shell crab! Super nom! - Maya Itani
Love the quick quality sushi concept. Stumbled on this place on our first visit to East Village. Hope you expand to SF. ???? - Kat Song
Massive shop, mostly outdoor seating. Sundae bar/parlor and walk-in pies cakes rolling out soon. Great staff and 88 flavors ???? Banana agave is rich, Macadamia Butter Passionfruit is an EXPERIENCE - Kevin Yeh
I like the vibes here. Good lighting, great for dates. Sit in one of the big open windows with a cocktail. - Parker Chambers
You can't probably go wrong with any drink but negroni on tap and gin and tonic are my favorite. - I P
