Everything is absolutely delicious, nice balance of authentic and elevated . Great cocktails . Highly recommend the pork buns , water spinach , Lu rou fan
Fantastic Taiwanese food — a unique menu even in NYC. Clams & basil , zhajiangmian (lamb noodles ), and Lu Rou Fan (pork rice bowl ) all great. Happy hour until 7. Heavily recommend.
Well-executed standards w/ a few curveballs. Fried eggplant , zhajiangmein, sesame peanut noodles all great. Big chicken bun may be best fried chicken sandwich in nyc. Decor & cocktails both good
I just broke my lease to move closer to this beef roll (shank, egg and the most amazing combination of sauces all bundled up in a scallion pancake ).
4 of us shared the lu rou fan , flies head, sesame noodles , beef roll , water spinach & pan fried pork buns . Flavors and portion size were perfect.
Americanized, but in a good way (think less heavy and salty). Get the beef roll , oyster omelet , zhajiangmian, turnip cake ...yeah, pretty much everything. And a Taiwan Beer Gold Medal of course.
Highlight for me was lu rou fan but it’s more rich fried rice than fatty pork belly . Also the ice cream sandwich style dessert . Takes me back to Taipei 7/11 ice cream piklettes circa 1999. Hao che!
Super flavorful Asian food . Loved the fried eggplant . Pea shoots standard (but quite good). Peanuts more substantial than expected. The lamb noodles were a bit underwhelming
Cucumbers surprisingly yum. Turnip cake meh. Fried eggplant good. Lo Rou Fan, Danzi noodles , Zhajiangmian were great. Really great meal, not at the top top, but still delicious and worth the money!
Order the tian mian tuan- a dreamy dessert ! I also loved the sesame noodles (served warm) and pan griddled pork bun app. The beef roll could be better if the cucumber nonsense was on the side!
Get the chopped salad and the pork trotter. And the fried ice cream sandwich . You will be happy.
The Lu Rao Fan is spectacular, boasting with flavor for all of your comfort food needs. Marinated Cucumbers (simple, flavorful) + Pork Buns (dumplings ) were exquisite.
Everything we tried was awesome - fried eggplants , peanuts , egg roll , ziajianmen, flys head. A (good) twist of the classic.
This food is so damn amazing. Great staff too! Try anything and you’ll be psyched. Even the stuff you can’t pronounce. Just point. You’ll be happily surprised.
Everything is amazing! The Pork belly bowl and dumplings are the most outstanding! Top restaurant for me
Fried eggplant w/ kefir cheese was a delicious and interesting blend of flavors. Pork buns are a must. The big chicken bun was very heavy and quite greasy.
Dishes stay faithful to the classics, but some like the beef roll (beef shank rolled in a scallion pancake ) take risks.
My first visit to Win Son was fabulous. The food was delicious, especially the marinated cucumbers , fried eggplant , pea shoots , and guohua street salad . I LOVED the super clever artwork by RARA.
The food is good : - Big Chicken bun - the small pork buns - zhajiangmian... Try the taiwanese beer too.
excellent brunch : doujiang youtiao (savory; I’m sure sweet is great too); pan seared pork buns ; chicken and waffles ; beef roll
Breakfast of champions drink was unique & delicious. All the dishes were so good - especially the pea shoots , fried eggplant , stinky tofu , popcorn chicken , & tian miantuan dessert !
It’s good. But for what you pay $165 for here you’ll get in Flushing for like $50 or less. This is a spot for people that don’t want to go all the way out there.
Can’t leave without the sesame noodles or pea shoots . Also love the clams , wine list and general vibe. Good things happening here.
We split a few dishes, guohua salad - very tasty, our fav, scallion pancake - too few scallions , could be crispier, turnip cake - felt over priced for size, waiters felt unengaged.
Awesome vibe, music and even better food! Fried Chicken and waffles were out of control, must try the buns , the sesame noodles and the lu rou fan for brunch .
Pork Buns , Papaya Salad , Chicken Bun are all worth a first-time try
Beautiful space, everything we ate was delicious and friendly service . The seasoned peanuts and cucumber salad with roe were great snacks to start.
This place is legit - get the lamb noodles and the pork buns
Delicious! Has the fried aubergine and the nutritious sandwich , both lovely. Service was good too
The big chicken bun is DELICIOUS. Ignore any haters
Good stuff. Like a Taiwanese Mission Chinese. Lots of cilantro and fried onionettes on everything I ordered. Still good tho!
Taiwan Beer Classic and pork buns are delicious, reasonably priced, and the service is excellent
Get the cucumber appetizer among others. Being a closer to the carnivore end of the spectrum, it def competes with meat dish. I order it every time.
Pork buns . Lu rou fan . Flies head. Water spinach . Beef rolls !! Sesame noodles . Everything so good.
I've been here plenty of times and have yet to be disappointed. Definitely go for the big chicken bun and the unconventional pork buns
Chicken bun & Taiwan beer were both delicious!
Try the lu rou fan , zhajiangmian and clams and basil - totally lives up to the hype!
Lu rou fan was delicious! Big portion and the egg on the side was a great addition.
Such a lovely restaurant ! My friend and I enjoyed the pork buns , turnip cake and Lu rou. Will definitely be back next time!
the zhajiangmian is made with lamb , so skip it if you're not a Lambsman
Lu rou fan + turnip cake are my favs but everything is delicious here! It’s a twist on Taiwanese traditional dishes
Everything was just a bit too salty or sweet (brunch , not busy). For a Taiwanese place you would expect the lu rou fan to be good, but it wasn't even half-way decent. Hard pass from this Taiwanese guy
Overall the food tasted somewhat similar because of their use of similar toppings (scallions + shredded pork and something else)
Pea shoots , scallion pancakes , o-a jian, fried eggplant and fly’s head. Really outstanding
Pork buns are outrageous. Great vibe in the place. Right near Duck Duck . New fave place?
Great for sharing dishes with a group. Scallion pancakes , fried eggplant , and the noodles were all incredible.
God damn this place is good. I like going for brunch on weekends the best.
Had the beef roll which was fine. But the Lu Rou fan was very tasty dish and reminded me of some of my mom's cooking. I'd order this again for myself.
Interesting spin on classic Taiwanese dishes. Loved their scallion pancakes--so thick and delicious.
All I can say is yum! Jasmine tea and Danzi main warmed me right up. Staff was wonderful and attentive
I wanted to go here for some time now and it did not disappoint. Popcorn chicken, La Ba Beng, shrimp lettuce cups and popcorn chicken were all amazing. Need to come back for the larger shared plates! - Michael Anthony
NYT Hungry City (9/2018): Popcorn chicken; Taiwanese sausage; double egg O.G. fried rice; chorizo fried rice; bone-in pork chop fried rice; numb numb pastrami fried rice. - Dave S
Deliciously divey. Just what the block needs to balance Sweet Science. Deluxe beer & shot specials, good standard cocktail menu. Dog friendly with a semi-open space during the summer! - Dan Barton
The BEC with scallion pancake really hit the spot. Also a fan of the mochi donut! - Stephanie Tan
Awesome brunch. Food is great and the drinks are very strong. Never an empty glass either.. - Kevin Walsh
