Pretty small place but clean and good service . Big portions with the most reasonable price for a Japanese meal in London (I think). Try hyper roll , salmon tataki, chirashi don, unagi don,... £20-25/💃
By FAR the best sushi in London, hands down. This restaurant is all about value for money . Their sushi is always up to par and the bento boxes are a killer. Definitely go with the chicken katsu - wow
Authentic Japanese . Nothing to envy from the Golders Green branch. Prices are reasonable and portions are big, order less than you would. Very creative sushi rolls . Lunchtime in weekends is not busy.
Very authentic and well priced. The food boat at the start of the menu is too big for 2 people if you also want to eat meats and hot dishes. Top marks for a casual dinner with friends.
Ordered saba bento ,samurai dragon. Service was satisfying! Will definitely go for a second time. I must say the samurai dragon tasted superb, if i had enough money i will not share it with others!
Fresh and melt-in-the-mouth fish , among the best sushis I ever had. Great bento boxes for lunch . Good price for quality.
Great food without breaking the bank . Good quality and taste authentic , the place is always busy and can be cramped. I love the bento box and the deep fried squid tentacles as an appetizer !
yummy salmon teriyaki bento l as well as hyper roll or dragon roll . Udon and kaiso salad was pretty bland. Lovely matcha ice cream , one of my favourite places xx
Delicious sushi but the "booking system" was a bit of a scene - waiting outside for 15 minutes with others who had bookings while they turned the tables over. Worth it once we had our food, I guess?!
Always a not-so-expensive treat at Eat Tokyo! But watch out their sashimi boat can be not fresh sometimes. Bentos are very nice!
What fantastic little Gem of a restaurant . Take me back to Tokyo please. Very reasonable as well .
Sashimi is second to none! Chef is hilarious and friendly . Get the sashimi boat if you are hungry.
Eat Tokyo is a proper Japanese restaurant with aspect of the Japanese culture that don’t usually surface. Like pop culture and massive menu.
There is the line during lunch time, but it was very fast. Amazing sushi , big portions , good rates
I saw the head chef licked his hands and then prepared the fish for one of the customers he made fun off. He told his staff colleagues, who laughed and then happily watch his customer eat the fish !
Great authentic Japanese food , skilled sushi chefs , affordable prices ; I like it very much!
Very helpful staff , explaining food and portion sizes. "So men don't get the double size Katsu for ye-self. Share it with ye Queen".
Really good izakaya , traditional atmosphere , totally reminds me of my time in Osaka 😀
Best Japanese I've had in a long time. Great fun staff , can wait a long time for service at times though
Sashimi tastes very different from what I tried before. And I am not sure I liked it. Friendly though
Little gem of a place in Holborn! Great sushi and massive portions in the family-owned establishment.
Good japanese look and feel restaurant , great sushi ....
Satisfying for the choice, prices and quantities. Quality (fish , sushi rice , tempura ) is no more than acceptable
Authentic , affordable , and delicious!
Sushi was ok but I have teied better sushi places in London so not blown away..2013 award winning sushi roll was the best we ordered
One of the best value for money in town . Try the chef 's sushi rolls ! ;)
All the sushies are yummy. You could wait a little in the que but it worths.
food is great, book if you want to go at busy time. No clue why people queue for hours on Sat night
Authentic Cheap Izakaya you would find in Japan, but in London.
Staggeringly broad menu. Excellent food. A real hidden gem in the city
Fresh sashimi but charges extra 50p for wasabi if you order maki rolls , do check your bill or ask before ordering extra wasabi !
Brilliant plum wine , nice dragon rolls , matcha I've cream
excellent food. often busy so recommended to book a table or arrive when they open.
Good, cheap and quick Japanese. They do lots of lunch specials .
Excellent oyster furai, katsu don and tempura .
Great chirashi don!! Reasonable pricing.
The service is very chaotic. Some of us finished their dish, while other were still waiting for their order to come!Beside this, the food is very good.
Great sushi rolls .
If you think this place is good, you really haven't tried proper sushi . Food is both uninspired and not fresh. Shame on them. First time I didn't ate everything I ordered and I am having sushi weekly
Feels authentic and a wide selection of dishes
Yummy bento , just a bit slow as always...
Good food, good prices, awful service. People tolerate the service because the food is good and cheap . But the service is REALLY bad. And I mean it
Bento boxes are brilliant!
Chicken liver yakitori is superb!
Great food and good prices!
Reasonable prices especially given the portion size. However service is terrible and we found plastic in both salad AND drink. No money off or real apology either!!
make sure to have a reservation for dinner time
Everything
just go there for some bento but do not expect japanese food . the place is packed up with young people. If you want Japanese, I don't recommend. not managed by Japanese anymore
Big portions , great quality, not particularly expensive .
Absurdly fast service, and great food. Really nice lunch for less than a tenner. - Andrew Marks
Yummy BBQ. All the kalbis, especially with miso or garlic butter, and the harami skirt steak. Pork cheek wasn't bad too. Go on Monday when it's ala carte happy hour all day. Recommend reserving. - Shannon Low
Awesome place!! It's big enough and the service is excellent. Prices are fair. - Ana itzel Hernandez
Great pub for after-work drinks! Slightly quieter and with more character than many on the main throughfare of High Holborn. - Rob Bell
Fantastic place to spend a day. So much on display and so much to learn. Can get pretty crowded thou. - Derrick Leow
