nice atmosphere - GOOD coffee - really well-priced books - shame you get 'tude from the baristas. Also, close to the theatres downtown, so good for a fast bite before curtain.
Maybe best coffee in New Haven. Delicious pun-ny sandwiches . Half used book store , half cafe . They have a beautiful glass greenhouse wall that leads to an outdoor seating space. Great for studying
A Tale of Two Turkeys !!! Excellent brownies and desserts as well . Check out the great book selection while you're at it!
Came here while visiting Yale. Great idea for coffee shop (i.e. Combined with a used books store ) I wish there was one like that back in Pittsburgh.
Great place to eat/sip in or take out . Good pastry , too. Always accommodating, and there are all those great used book as great prices.
Great coffee and a decent book selection ! It definitely has an old school feel.
Smoothies aren't your typical smoothies . They use an iced green tea base so they're thinner than you'd expect.
Half sandwich half soup is great: BLT sandwich + Chipotle chilli bean soup

The place almost always smells like smoked bacon ! Even if you eat bacon , do you want your quiet bookstore/study cafe to have this hanging aroma of it? <vomit>
Wifi pwd: open sesame
1/2 sandwich + soup = best quick lunch spot in NH (love that they're just across the street, too). Can't go wrong with the Tempesto or the BLT!
Vonnegut's Veggies = best sandwich ever. Roasted veggies & red peppers and caramelized onions smothered in melted brie .
Really cool little spot
Quite possibly the best cup of coffee I have had in New Haven.
Great place to get work done.
Try the green mint iced tea , so good!
Carnivore? Try the Jane Rare, it's delicious! (and STAY AWESOME!)
many used books !
I haven't been in ages, but knowing it smells like bacon I'm probably going to visit more often now.
Great atmosphere and cheap books !
Great atmosphere, but smoothies are watery and fake tasting
Outdoor seating
Try the soups , they're always good!
Min $5 for debit card
Definite attitude from the emps...wth? You want me to spend money, right?...
Great used books . Attitude from baristas?
no plugs. boo.
Great burgers, awesome fries, and superior shakes. But it's a bit expensive for the college budget. - Aaron Mack
Their creamy pastas are awesome! Also, love their tomato-based soups! - Miriam Grossman
The smoothies are amazing, and the sandwiches are on average very good and fresh. I would not recommend the peanut chicken wrap though. - Paul Fletcher-Hill
Free admission. A great museum with a wide variety of styles and periods. They have lockers to place your things. - Justin Ordoveza
What a store! I'm no painter, but I peeped in with my friends while strolling through New Haven. Buy a close friend a moleskin diary notebook from Hull's. GREAT selection (and a great gift)!! - Benjamin Gelfand
Love the atmosphere, the mashed potato and bacon pizza and their own beer. Favorite place in New Haven. - Lisa Garcia
