First timers get your free potlikker and corn bread ! Portions were massive here and extremely buttery. The wait staff was very nice. Get an assorted bread basket !
Great food. I recommend the tomato pie and broccoli soufflé . Also really enjoyed the bread basket . Their peach cobbler didn't live up to my expectations though.
We arrived right on time! Right when they opened on a Sunday morning! The fried chicken did not disappoint, wish I would have shared a plate. I was stuffed with just the bread basket ! Great service!
If you're a vegetarian/pescatarian, in addition to the vegetable platter, their fish options are pretty varied and tasty. The blackened tilapia was as good as it gets, especially with some hot sauce !
Loved the food! Get more sides, fgt , fried okra , spiced apples , squash souffle , hoppin John, pot licker with cracklings , peach cobbler is a must
I got the chicken fried chicken , broccoli soufflé , cheese and veggie soufflé and macaroni and cheese and was INCREDIBLY impressed. The staff was all very kind, even though the restaurant was swamped!
Absolutelyyy amazing foood! Anything you try will be delicious... So go for what you're craving! I asked what a tomato pie was and they brought me a sample! GREATTT service! Will def go back!
So many sides to choose from! Don't leave Atlanta without trying their fried green tomatoes at least once. Also, if you like pork chops , try one fried and one blackened.
Food's pretty good. Some items are hit & miss tho. Fried chicken , sweet potato soufflé , broccoli casserole , oysters & greens are good money. Bread & cinnamon rolls are delicious 2. Good service too
I was here for a friend's farewell dinner , the food was good, the service was excellent!! The place gives you s home-like atmosphere
Words cannot express how delectable the food was! Whew! Pot likker , crackling cornbread , old fashioned banana pudding , fried green tomatoes , and that good ole southern hospitality ! A must in ATL!
Service is wonderful and food is pretty darn good. Fried chicken is all you want with fried chicken . And the biscuits are pretty good, too. Tight waiting area and a considerable wait.
The fried green tomatoes are fantastic. The fried chicken was the best I had in years. Get some sweet tea and you're good to go. Super friendly service
Chicken fried chicken , black eyed peas , okra and peach cobbler !!! Cute place to stop by on your trip to Atlanta!
Lots of dining rooms makes this feel like people kept coming for the traditional southern food , so the restaurant kept adding rooms. When you go to the restroom , remember what room you came from.
So far so good... got the pot likkor with the cracklin bread , Deviled eggs and a cold glass of sweet Augusta Lemonade . ALL ON POINT friendly service as well
Everything is wonderful here! My personal favorites are the fried green tomatoes and black eyed peas . Best place in Atlanta to get true Southern home cooking .
A bona fide Atlanta institution. The framed, autographed photos that run up and down nearly every wall attest to that. Johnny Mercer, James Brown, Jimmy Carter and Jesse Ventura, have all eaten here. Read more
The gravy and dressing is amazing, ribs are lip smacking good, and the greens and cornbread O'Lawd have mercy.
The atmosphere was very unique, the service was great, good team effort and the food was super flavorful!! Try the meatloaf and yeast rolls with the sweet tea !!
Wine sauce for the bread pudding is a little strong but the Mac n' Cheese was delicious and the greens were to die for!! Roast pork was very tender minus a few cart shards....get you an Arnold Palmer !
Shrimp grits , fried chicken , BLOODY MARY , pot likkers . It’s all good. Quick seating for small parties even when there’s a long line .
I love the fried chicken . I almost always get it when I come here. Sundays are usually a little crowded so be prepared.
Friendly service with a private parking lot . The fried green tomatoes are really good especially with the spicy dipping sauce .
Chicken and dumplings were great and mac and cheese was amazing, definitely a lunch or dinner stop to check out when you're in Atlanta!
One of my favorite restaurants in Atlanta. I always bring visiting family and friends here. Cream corn and broccoli soufflé are hands down the best!
Just outstanding. Great menu. Fried chicken is moist and delectable accompanied with a side of collard greens like you've never tasted!
I got fried chicken , sweet potatoes , greens, & Mac n cheese . Everything was good (especially the sweet potatoes ) but the Mac n cheese . Tasted bland to me. The banana pudding was hot also.
Everything was great.Fried chicken was great. First visit and you get a complimentary cup of pot licker soup . GREAT!!!!! Can't wait to go back!!!
Every item I had was delicious. I would highly recommend Mary Mac's, it's arguably one of the best southern cuisine restaurants I've been to.
Fried green tomatoes are the best I've ever had. The broccoli soufflé was better than expected - a must if you like broccoli .
Everything was amazing! The service, the food... We went on New Year's Day so the menu was limited and they were super busy. We were told one hour wait but waited only half.
J Smoov is the best waiter in Atlanta. Try the tomato pie . Kinda blew my mind. Chicken fried chicken also absurdly good.
If you get the four-piece fried chicken , you probably won't have room for dessert (so save a cinnamon roll .)
Mac & Cheese very good. Salmon Croquetts reminds me of my grandmothers kitchen on friday nights. Mary Mac THANKS for the memories
First time visitors get a free pot likker . Eat fried chicken , mac & cheese , fried okra , green beans , etc. The cinnamon rolls are SO good too.
Went while at a conference . Restaurant very clean , very friendly . Had the deep fried oysters and fried green tomatoes . Excellent and reasonable.
It doesn’t get any better than Mary Mac's. With the perfect touch of Southern charm, this traditional menu will certainly make an impression. Try the Spicy Deep-Fried “Mudbugs” while you’re here.
Southern food & Hospitality at its FINEST !!! Yummy ... The fried Green Tomatoes are excellent !!!! 5 stars
Please do not get the greens! Other then that everything else is great!!!
The potlikker — salty, oily and cloudy with mysteries of flavor, with a stray collard leaf floating within — comes alongside a miniature cracklin ’ corn muffin . Read more
Don't be afraid to ask if you can sample a dish. I got to sample the chicken & dumplings and it was excellent! A hearty dish indeed.
Must have the fried chicken ! Delicious!! Staff was super friendly and on check with our order - we were a group of 20 and they were great to us!
Had the fried chicken and fried green tomatoes . Both very delicious. I just about had to be dragged away in a food coma.
Lots of great tasting soul food inspired options to choose from and a nice environment to boot.
Fried chicken is moist inside and crispy outside. Must get broccoli as a side
When I crave for fried green tomatoes , fried chicken , and the freshest creamed corn , this is the place! Granny hostess never fails to entertain and gives the warmest back rub .
Food was better than the last time I was there (still don't care for the cheese on macaroni but great friendly service
Yummy selection of Southern food . For vegetarians , you can always order the Vegetable Platter which allows you to choose from a variety of sides like mac and cheese and okra !
An Atlanta institution. Definitely enjoyed the fried chicken, mac and cheese, and green beans. If you go during lunch, get there early or go later. - Gregory Cox
You can't go wrong with the jerk chicken. Portion is enough for two. - Robin Vann
Everything is delicious, but i recommend the crawfish and corn fritters and the pork tenderloin. - Emily Genende
Nice theatre I must admit. I saw the Opera Play here and Some French Comedy as well. Both times I really enjoyed myself. Great staple in Atlanta. - TJ
Such a fun time here with my family. The staff are so fun and seem to really enjoy themselves. Free bottles of Coke and a huge tasting room to satisfy your fizzy fancies! - Jen Calvey
A special place in every way. Beautifully designed and honestly spectacular! You can spend the whole day and still want more. - G C
