It is what it is: an OLD bar , est. in 1902. Don't let all the motorcycles hanging from the ceiling fool you, the service is consistently friendly and the drinks well made. People's prices too!
One of my favorite bars in Portland. Cool atmosphere, live music , cheap drinks & good selection of alcohol . Happy hour is from 4-7 (11pm-1am Sun-Thurs). Try grilled cheese & tomato soup . Food is great
This bar has by far the friendliest bartenders in Portland . They always remember your name and what you drink. I always get the cheese quesadilla and go extra heavy on the Aardvark sauce!
Recommended as a place where industry peeps go after work. Just the right amount of beer offerings. Nice atmosphere. Bar was full for lunch on a Thursday. No shame in drinking. No judgement here.
Majorly revamped kitchen/menu, singularly great downtown live music venue . In-house sound staff get it right, eclectic tourists populate the main bar to see hanging motorcycles and highway history Read more
Good beer selection . Nice bartenders . Cool motorcycles hanging above your head while you have a beer . Roy Orbison playing. Who could complain?
$6 PBR and pour of JD... Price went up a dollar from the last time this tip was posted, but still awesome. (Btw... Sitting next to a couple that ordered breakfast . It looked amazing!)
Neon heaven and hipster haven . Check it out on your way to or from dinner at Huber's. Now THAT's an authentic night out in Rip City !

Nice friendly bar with some solid gin drinks on top. Seems like a lot of locals. Dressed like a dive bar but isn't.
Loving the atmosphere!!! Specially on a Sunday night were Portland is dead!
Great bar , great music , great eggs ... What more can you ask for? :) I liked the El Jefeweisen on tap .
Service industry specials and all-request music videos Monday nights. Newly remodeled menu and venue
Classic Portland dive feeling, with interesting folk. Watch a game here or chill with hipsters .
There's a reason everyone is touting the Black & Blue. Just do it.
Love the neon, great no-nonsense watering hole.
Great beer selection and breakfast , reasonably priced too
Edgy staff with great attitude. Great biker dive bar
Favorite dive bar in PDX - check out the music videos on Monday nights!
downtown's most iconic dive bar might also be its best
Great bar , friendly service , awesome decor!
Great dive bar but it gets crowded .
Best bloody marys ever!!! I came straight here after flying in to have one!
OLCC card? Get $1 off drinks on Mondays.
Only reason to come here would be to see the great bartender Wallace or for Karl's awesome food.
I love this place for a quick drink after work
Sunday afternoon open Mic comedy . Awkward is a way of life, embrace the silence.
Motorcycles hanging from the ceiling, jukebox , chili tots ... can't go wrong.
Nice back room to listen music/bands
Fifteen bucks for FOUR drinks. Try to beat that!
This place rules! Lauren is the best!
black and blue. get it. a shot of jack Daniels and tall boy PBR . can you beat that for $5?
Stopped by after getting dinner . My kind of dive bar .
Go here. Wish I could put into words why. I can't
I ordered 4-5 vodka sodas and an order of chicken quesadillas for $22.
Vintage motorcycles hanging from the ceiling.
Margaritas on draught . Yes.
If you are a breakfast drinker... you can get Biscuits and Gravy for $3.75
Atmosphere!
Nice atmosphere and a good beer selection .
Great bartenders . Walk, don't drive.
One of the best bacon cheeseburgers in Portland. No-frills bar food. Great fries .
Breakfast after a race downtown
American Pickers decorated it!
Picture says it all
Mac n cheese bites
Service sucked... Sat at the bar and saw other dude who came in after me get served first, even after I asked. Oh well , they must not want business
I do not recommend coming to this establishment. Having been a loyal customer for almost two years I am 86,d for catching an employee stealing my property from my bar stool
They changed all their food. It's shit now!
We had a bartender here who was incredibly rude. She complained about not getting a tip to her coworker in front of us even though we hadn't even paid for our drinks yet or left. Very unprofessional.
Clean bathrooms, lots of beverage choices from coffee and tea to kombucha or beer. Beautiful stage and not too big. Great date locale! - Sharon Perloff-Shamow
A beautiful brick façade and neon sign hide the humble insides of a Quaker meeting hall. Staff is kind and accommodating, artist food is vegan optional, sound system is acceptable. 7/11 hot dogs. - Dan Gerbarg
Decent cider selection and good fries. Very non-Portland atmosphere - Brook Shelley
Huge selection! You cannot go wrong with anything here. Try a variety. You will not be disappointed. - Moe Dexler
Games. Classics, newbies, but mainly the classics. And all the pinball you can handle! - Fernando Melendez
