"Half-day hike , 5 miles down and back. Trailhead at Haleakala Visitor Center. Alien landscape of reddish black cinders, lava bombs, silverswords. Solitude and silence. Turn back at the crater floor."

Gabriela Paniagua

Try making it to the kaluuokaoo crater . It has beautiful red stones. It's a 5 mile hike there and back and can take up to 4 hours.
